@dddpworld
I normally live in the real world but I like to escape to the 3D printing world where conventional rules don’t apply and your thoughts can become a reality.

The second diffuser is finally done. The XL had no issues this time around, I think I just need more helper disc's to keep it down. Its a tough print....
Oh and I had a bracket break but @neewerofficial has some really great customer service, thanks Suzy!

@CanuckCreator I would think if they are only selling the belt as a addon to an existing printer as a upgrade, they may be able to get around the patent that way.
English

Wasnt there a patent blocking this sort of treadmill bed, thats the reason belt printers are on a 45 right?

@jerrari3D They don't need one, I print for them at home. We don't have a use for one very often, CNC's are still better for most things.

Bubble-wrap Stanford Bunny! I added some new features and fixed bugs in my STL Texturizer. Give it a try yourself: cnckitchen.github.io/stlTexturizer/

@DBjoerklund I have magnets holding my cooling shroud on but I wanted mine to be removable so there is a QD. Mine has never fallen off.

New Orbiter Toolhead for the Muldex with quick release fan and @LukesLaboratory toolboard. I’m so excited about how this turned out! Now compatible with the screw mount or groove mount Copperhead heatsink. Atomic’s blue CF PETG, the Dark Cherry version up next.
English

Brilliant idea, especially if the magnet is strong enough!

I starší děvčata si zaslouží nějakou tu péči, moje miliovaná a nesčetněkrát přestavovaná MK3.9 proto dostala magnetický výklopný ventilátor od Paka. Všechny díly z PC Blendu, tištěné na C1L,

@ErickP723 @Polymaker_3D Thanks! I got sidetracked for a bit but I’m back to making more collapsible weapons for the arsenal! 😅
English

Ezra's 3rd lightsaber from Ahsoka is the first "Saber Plug" compatible collapsing lightsaber. I've been asked for this for so long, I'm so happy to have finally found a solution.
Printed in all @Polymaker_3D PLA+ Metallics and Transparent PETG.

@thejoeben_ Lucky! You probably have so many options down there. I have not spent much time in Florida but seeing the different plants and trees was the best part.
English

@dddpworld You bet! I live in south Florida, have about 40 orchids outside at the moment.
English

Did you see @GoatToaster9 is on a new podcast where he discusses the Core one+ he just got in the latest episode. Its going to be exciting to see his take on it.

@gonecozycrafts Maybe @greghuber has some tips. His stitching is💯
English

@_devalopr Too bad, that is a beautiful tree and a beautiful house.

@2GregEl The tool changer has more tools but I think this machine is meant for a higher end market where a majority of users probably just want to print in two materials, not multiple colors. Snapmakers tool changer price point is probably not possible for them to be competitive with.
English

@dddpworld On second thought, looking at the Snapmaker U1 success story, I think Zaxe should have gone for a tool changer or an INDX toolhead printer.
English

@2GregEl That is weird. I'm not familir with the printer but I'm sure that large of a print volume also makes it difficult.
English

@dddpworld This creates some weird X offset between the tools. Belt tension is pulling some plane out of squareness. XY joiner plane or the X rail to tool mount plate plane. I don't know, but you can get weird stuff happening for example this bed mesh 2/2

English

Did you guys notice this? Zaxe's IDEX is actually a double core XY! Noice

3D Printing World@dddpworld
👀No way, Zaxe is making a IDEX!
English

@2GregEl Is the V4 using dual Markforged? Isn't the y-axis straight Cartesian, with a motor on each side? That's what I did, then used sensorless homing to align the gantry to the frame with the two y-axis motors.
English

@dddpworld If all 4 belts are equal length, it might be easier to tune and have equal the tension. On a RatRig IDEX different belt tension can lead to gantry skew.
English

@_devalopr The downside to the Dual Markforged is that the X and U axis motors have a 2:1 ratio to the Y axis motors. Meaning if moving in a curtain direction, the X and U motors have to rotate twice the speed as the Y.
English

@dddpworld That's a lot of belts and pulleys. Why would they possibly do this instead of using double Markforged or Ratrig IDEX kinda setup?
