SO happy to see this great work published! One big difference to the BioRXiv version: Amazing tomograms of cryo-fixed samples by @ddebelli1 that provide a much better view of the actual morphology of these extracellular vesiculo-tubular structures!

Many years ago, some funny bubbles in the endodermis of the lotr2/exo70a1 mutant really puzzled us. Turns out suberin deposition seems to depend on these secretory structures. Proud to have been part of this! And huge congratulations to EM wizard @ddebelli1
