Farmers don't have enough diesel. Transport also. This is bad, very bad. One of two things needs to happen (assuming supply doesn't magically go back to normal) 1) Prices of consumer diesel in the cities needs to rise, massively, to deter consumers from using it. About 12% of diesel is city based based consumers. This is pretty much the only elastic demand available to cut. 2) The government invokes the 1984 Liquid Fuel Emergency (LFE) Act and forcibly redirect the elastic diesel to the farmers and transport. (The act does not allow the government to set prices) If neither of these things happen then the shelves go bare and farmers are rooted. Your EV isn't going to help you when the shelves are empty. Again, there is only about 12%, maybe 15%, city based consumer diesel consumption that is an elastic (non-essential) demand that can be played with here. Sticking your fingers in your ears and hoping the problem goes away isn't a solution.

I was applying for Australian citizenship and the interviewer asked, "Do you have a criminal record?" I said, "No. Is that still required?"

Pogačar’s mechanic, Boštjan Kavčnik, reveals: “Only after the finish did we realize Tadej had ridden the finale on a cracked frame.” “The rear fork was damaged, but fortunately it held together. Had Tadej known the true condition of the bike, he would never have descended so aggressively as he even attacked on the descent and when he tried to push Tom Pidcock to the limit.” “Tadej crashed on his left side, where there’s no gear shifter, but the crash mode was still triggered. He reset it himself and didn’t notice anything else wrong, so we didn’t change the bike.” “By the way, it was also the first time he opted for a single front chainring. By removing the front derailleur and extra chainring, we saved weight and improved aerodynamics. He also used taller wheels with narrower tires: 28 mm this year compared to 30 mm last year. Our performance team calculated that this setup would be optimal for such a fast race.” “This bike will now go into his special collection, it cannot be used anymore.” 📷: envecomposites / pocispix

Let me explain what just happened 👇 5 minutes before the President announced a halt to attacks on Iran… someone placed a $1.5 BILLION bet on stocks going up and dumped $192 million in oil. 5 minutes… These trades were 4 to 6 times larger than anything else in the entire market. Whoever did this wasn’t guessing. You don’t risk $1.5 billion on a hunch. There was zero public indication this announcement was coming. No leaks. No press. Nothing. The only people who knew were in the room when the decision was made. Someone in that room picked up a phone. And within minutes they made more money than most Americans will earn in a thousand lifetimes. In a single trade. On a war that cost you $4+ a gallon gas and $16 billion in tax dollars. American citizens funded this war. Politicians are profiting from it. This is not the first time. Every major announcement from this administration has had massive suspicious trades right before it dropped. Tariff reversals. Policy shifts. War decisions. This is the most blatant insider trading operation in the history of American politics. It’s not even close. And it’s happening over and over in broad daylight. You would go to federal prison for trading on a tip from your cousin. These people are front running war decisions with billion dollar bets and nobody will ever ask a single question. Nobody will be investigated. Nobody will be charged. By tomorrow this will be buried under the next satisfying headline. Just like last time. And the time before that. The game is rigged. And they’re not even trying to hide it anymore…

BREAKING: Just five minutes before Trump's announcement to halt the attacks on Iran, massive trades reportedly hit the market. In one move, $1.5 billion in S&P 500 (ES) futures was bought while $192 million in oil (CL) futures was sold. These orders were 4–6x larger than anything else at the time. The trader seemingly made huge gains. Unusual.

I captured another stabilized sky timelapse to visualize the Earth’s rotation. This is about 5 hours of real time. I also recorded a behind-the-scenes timelapse, as well. Captured at the Alabama Hills, CA in Sept 2022. #EppurSiMuove #AndYetItMoves #StabilizedSky #EarthRotation
