What terminal or IDE theme do you use? 🎨 Thinking of making a Gemini CLI extension for popular themes to make it easy to install and use fan favorites. Been using this gruvbox one lately.

@ntaylormullen @yaelmendez @antigravity I did ... and it ran cleanly through all 24 puzzles. Felt that using Gemini CLI, I use it daily for team, customer and personal OSS work, is closest to my work right now, and allows me to consistently validate my work with these models

I'm impressed how the latest Gemini models resolve Advent of Code, one-shot, minimalistic prompt, using the same Gemini CLI. Experiment with this yourself, enhance the prompt, evaluate against your own solutions, try it out! @GoogleCloudTech @geminicli medium.com/google-cloud/t…

Big family news. We are moving to #Montreal as my wife takes on a new job. It is a major change for us and the first time we are relocating for her career. Since we met, she has been the one giving something up at each step, whether that was her job, her career path, or being close to friends and family. Now it is my turn to support her growth and I am proud to do that. I am also grateful that #Microsoft is fully supportive. Montreal, with its easy access to East Coast and Europe, not to mention the huge developer community in Montreal itself and Toronto right next to it, is a great place for the work I started in July, and this next chapter feels like the right one for my wife and me. We are deeply thankful for the friends we made in Vancouver. The families from our kids’ school and daycare, our Brazilian community, and my SFU Executive #MBA classmates. It has been amazing to meet and learn from them. But our EMBA journey continues until April next year. As for our kids, they have been in #French immersion since kindergarten, so we hope the transition will be smooth for them. It will be a family adventure. Moving from Vancouver to Montreal feels almost like moving to another country. Language, culture, and climate are all different, and that is exactly what makes it exciting. We have been on the move since the beginning. Florianópolis, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo in 🇧🇷, California in the 🇺🇸, then 🇨🇦 in Vancouver, and now Montreal. Fingers crossed that everything goes well as we start this new chapter. And to my friends and followers who know Montreal well, I am all ears. Any tips, events, insights, school advice, or simple must try food spots are very welcome!

I want to start a series of weekly streams on X (possibly other platforms too), like "Friday Chat with Cat." No topic, just chatting about everything: Java news, my thoughts and findings at work, your questions and highlights of the week, anything really. How does it sound?

@IamKyros69 You just wrote code and tried things out. And read the manuals. In the early 90's, the Visual C++ books weighed 14 kg and they had all the info...😀

How did people even learn to code when there was no docs, no YouTube… nothing? Genuinely curious.

Treat AI-generated code as a draft. It can write the first version, but never outsource the reading. No human review means no reliable trace from behavior back to intent. When you stop reviewing AI drafts, you stop knowing why the code works at all.

I can see use cases in real world applications with quick applicability, let’s say a compliance check in a financial service…
