The Chicago Bears currently possess the 2nd and 3rd overall picks, eight weeks through the season. This potential Bears offense would be CRAZY. QB: Justin Fields RB: Roschon Johnson, D’Onta Foreman WR: Marvin Harrison Jr. (2nd overall) WR: DJ Moore WR: Darnell Mooney WR: Tyler Scott TE: Brock Bowers (3rd overall) TE: Cole Kmet This would INSTANTLY be the most talented offense in the NFC North 😳

@NFLNotify This is a classy move by Tennessee and Henry. Neither side is trash talking the other, but mutual respect in parting ways. Wish this happened more often.

𝗥𝗨𝗠𝗢𝗥 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗧: The #Titans are expected to explore trade options for Derrick Henry at the trade deadline. Henry turns 30 in January and his time as a top RB in the league will likely be coming to a close soon. The Titans plan on working with Henry to get him to a contender to finish off his career.

We really don’t talk enough about Cairo Santos as one of the most reliable kickers in the NFL. Dude’s been automatic in his time with the #Bears.

@jasrifootball Lol this is irony at its finest. The amount of effort and money to rebrand a whole football team, just for them to be faced with a lawsuit for doing what they were forced to do

𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧: The #Commanders have been sued by The Native American Guardians Association, which have been trying to get the Commanders to change their name back to #Redskins. “The logo on the Redskin’s helmet is an actual person, it’s Chief White Calf. Every time they go out on that field, they were honoring Chief White Calf and they were battling on the football field with the same honor and integrity and courage. They should continue to honor that.” They are suing after the team allegedly made defamatory comments attacking the association’s integrity. nbcmontana.com/amp/news/natio…

@phillipseeberg @danwiederer I disagree. Mahomes absolutely benefitted from being drafted to be under Reid, but hes also so naturally good. Mahomes wouldve still been the vest qb chicago ever had despite the dysfunction

@danwiederer I truly think that Mahomes would not be the same Mahomes if he had signed with the Bears. It’s not the pick that was wrong; it’s the team. If the Bears had drafted Mahomes you’d be saying, “why didn’t they draft Trubisky”. Now I know why Eli Manning held out. The team matters.

— In 2017, the Bears loved a lot about Patrick Mahomes and the magic within him. But, at the time, there was a feeling that Trubisky was a less risky pick. — Luke Getsy and Ryan Poles understand why Justin Fields’ frustration has elevated. So now what? — About that 90-yard TD drive in Tampa… *That* is what it’s supposed to look like. STORYLINES chicagotribune.com/sports/bears/c…

🤫… I quietly believe #DaBears will cut bait w/Flus @ seasons end.. & wait for it.. Hire Eric Bienemy as Justin’s new HC/OC.. Eric has worked extensively with Patrick Mahomes & is fully aware of Justin’s skill set.. Can develop him properly and mature him @ the QB position while building around him.. Kevin Warren & Ryan Poles aren’t stupid.. They know Justin is a generational talent who the organization has failed up to this point.. Bienemy is doing GODS WORK in Washington w/that offense.. Just seems like the perfect match in heaven for Justin & Bienemy for them to be matched together for at least a decade to come. 🧸⬇️

When are the #Bears going to find coaches that play up to their roster’s strengths? Arguably Matt Nagy’s biggest weakness was how he was too stubborn to adjust his scheme to suit his roster when it clearly wasn’t working. Matt Eberflus can still turn it around, but it looks like things are trending in that direction, too. The offense abandoned moving pockets and getting Justin Fields on the move. The defense refuses to play their CBs up on the LOS in coverage more and/or blitz, even though their 4-man rush with soft zone shells clearly doesn’t work. I don’t want this to become an excuse to the point players are exempt from criticism — that’s absolutely not true. But Nagy’s downfall was trying to put a round peg into a square hole. Eberflus needs to avoid doing the same.

If the #Bears DO have to draft a QB in Round 1 of the 2024 draft, I’m curious what traits they’ll factor in most. Caleb Williams and Drake Maye have my top grades off arm talent/upside. But in terms of pocket presence — JF1’s biggest weakness — my highest grade? Shedeur Sanders.

@jaemillz714 @BearsNationCHI Itll speak lengths for those 3, but i dont think its a deal breaker if they lose. The year is going to be graded as a whole for all 3 unless its a complete dumpster fire.

It’s only week 1 tomorrow, but there’s a lot going on in the background. It’s a new revamped #Bears team that is expected to win games. The #Packers are starting a season without Aaron Rodgers for the first time in a long time. So we have to ask, is tomorrow a must win game?

With Tyson Bagent the likely QB2, #Bears fans should aim to have realistic expectations. He’s a D2 rookie so there’ll be growing pains — don’t go saying he should replace Justin Fields if JF1 has a bad game. But Bagent was their best backup this preseason. He deserves this.

Going over every Fields play today (Excuse the stuffy nose, allergies 🤧) Calling Fields a Duel-Threat Running QB is an OBSERVATION, not a Diss. He was a Running QB in Highschool, he didn't have to run in college, now he's running in the NFL God gifted him with athleticism‼️
