A product that (almost) everyone uses from mid-sized tech companies and up but I rarely hear talked about: Grafana In The Pragmatic Engineer 2025 survey, it had more mentions than Cursor, and dominates as the answer to "how do you turn information into graphs" This is Grafana:

I'm thinking one tangible use case for this notes app will be for interior designers to keep client mood boards with annotated photos, long notes, to do lists, meeting notes and short scribbles - all together in the same space.

Hers's a tactic I use when Stakeholders come with solutions, NOT problems. Don't work backwards, work forward. What do I mean by that? Commonly when a stakeholder comes w/ a solution we try to get them to work backwards to the problem. But for some this is a stretch.

3/ Here's what actually works: Before touching OKRs, answer these questions: • What unique value can we deliver? • Where do we have advantage? • What capabilities do we need? • How will we build them? THIS is strategy. OKRs measure progress against it.

A PhD student used both Claude and Gemini as an AI therapist. She vented her frustrations around getting a cancer diagnosis, and joked about how much it was costing the healthcare system. The difference in responses is staggering.

I wish there was a way to navigate through the structure of a conversation/document more organically. e.g. a node tree

I wanted to share the following 10 Tailwind techniques. These will come in handy next week. For those who don’t use Tailwind, here be dragons! 1/10 - Let’s start simple. Set a CSS variable (width) based on state and use an arbitrary className.

Back to Kaifeng, the sheer mass of sharebikes on the weekend has lead to oceans of bikes parked all over Kaifeng. Many people took regional rail, buses, slugged taxis back to Zhengzhou or directly headed home on High Speed Rail from Kaifeng leading to complaints. Not my pics.

THE BEST visual explainer of how information propagates through a transformer. If you want to have more than intuition about how the Transformer architecture is ruling the LLM world → open-source project explains everything about LLM Transformer Models! → A great resource for anyone looking to gain a deeper understanding of how Transformer-based AI models like GPT work, including: → Self-attention mechanisms → Encoder-decoder architecture → Positional encoding → Multi-head attention

I had the chance to chat with the amazing @ridd_design about a bit of my journey and why I believe the future is builder > product designer. Watch here - dive.club/deep-dives/mar…
Ridd 🤿@ridd_design

📈 @mrncst might have the steepest career trajectory of any designer I've seen 👀 She landed her first full-time design role only a few years ago... And now she's designing on the biggest stage for some of the top teams in tech So I wanted to learn how she's advanced so quickly 👇

Pro tip for using Cursor that’s been a game changer for me: At the end of each feature build, ask Cursor to give you the full technical flow of what was implemented. Start maintaining technical docs from the beginning. It gives you a clear roadmap of how things work and helps Cursor make smarter decisions down the line.

every AI power user I talk to has some workflow hack they think is obvious eg: for me its voice. 10x faster for prompts than typing what's your "obvious" AI workflow that others should know about?

case study tip: don't focus on the product or the feature. write about the people who use the thing. what are their stories? how did you find that out? what was surprising? what did you end up doing with that information? what was provided in the end? was it any good?
