We are in a consultation for ZEPs and LEPS with @JacintaNgobese Foreign nationals are here in large numbers, and many are now pleading with @HomeAffairsSA for a permanent solution because they have built their lives in South Africa. The ongoing uncertainty affects their ability to properly plan their futures, livelihoods and families. But why should South Africans carry the burden for people who chose to build permanent lives around temporary arrangements?

One of the things we got from our meeting with EThekwini Municipalityis that since these shops all over our CBD are non-compliant, they don’t comply to the environmental safety regulations so even their waste isn’t collected the way it should and they end up throwing their dirt all over the city!! This ends up causing blockages to the storm water drainages and that’s why everytime it rains we have floods‼️
