@HLLivingLoco Worst case scenario they keep Stanley because Morrissey went down
English

@HLLivingLoco 100% Gus bus was under appreciated. When he did get skill on his wings his points increased. He just does the right things
English

I understand why the Jets didn't think Heinola was an NHLer but the Gus pigeonholing and demotion never made sense to me. Would have been real interesting to see what Dave could have done with more skill at his flanks. One of Manitoba's few point machines.
Dave Minuk@ICdave
“Put the puck on net and good things happen” Probably what Ville Heinola was thinking as he picks up his second point of the afternoon following the David Gustafsson deflection (his second point of the game as well). Moose now up 2-0 over Wranglers.
English

@ICdave Heinola playing like he hopes Morrissey is out longer than the Olympics and he gets and audition again.
English

@ICdave The fact that the Gusbus is on the moose is criminal. Guy has been a solid fourth liner for years.

@NonDiscX @LailaGoodridge Umm 50 million a year. So 62.5 dollars per kid for the year. Pretty good deal
English

@LailaGoodridge Wow.
We can feed a kid in Africa for a dollar a day, yet the Breakfast club of Canada was spending $62.50 per kid, per day, and only breakfast.
And the government wants to spend how much more??? $216,000,000/400,000 kids = $540/kid, and still only for breakfast!
This is insane!
English

@evanwaldner31 No one in the scouting world seems to think so. Not on any top 100 lists
English

Not only was Walton a steal of a pick, he’s quite literally dominating the #OHL for the second straight year.
He ranks:
- 2nd in goals
- 2nd in points
- 1st in GWG (9)
- 1st in shots (267)
For a sixth-round pick? What a steal this is turning out to be.

Evan Waldner@evanwaldner31
#NHLJets 2024 sixth-round pick Kieron Walton recorded a two-goal performance for the Peterborough Petes against the Owen Sound Attack Thursday night, including the OT winner for his 32nd of the season. The 19-year-old is now up to 32G and 66P in 44GP in the #OHL.
English

@GarretHohl Support the narrative!!! Help us get a better pick for him!
English

@jpolly22 I would love to see the Jets get creative with trades to try and optimize what they can get. Want Luke schenn for a third? Well what about luke and lambert for a first? What if we retain all the money for a second. Those kind of things. Use the assets you maybe don’t want anymore
English

@nhlburnerboi He scored a bunch of points 3 years ago. So he should do that again.
English

Does anyone have an explanation as to why a guy with 0 goals in 40 games is on pp1 #nhljets
English

@ksuvet68 lol. Scheif didn’t want to play with Ehlers on his wing in Winnipeg… why would he do it in Carolina
English

@lysshoude Kovacevic is one of the biggest misplays in asset management.
English

Just to emphasize:
Since 2017, the Jets have drafted four players who have over 100 career games under their belt.
- Chisholm (114)
- Kovacevic (224)
- Samberg (240)
- Perfetti (248)
That’s 50% of the even semi legit NHLers being waiver claims. Other 2 on the roster.

If you joined us on @SportsTalkWPG this morning, here is a [brutal] visual of the draft picks that I was going on and on and on about 🕺
English

David Gustafsson is up to 20 points on the season (7G, 13A) through 28 games, just 10 points shy of tying his AHL career high of 30, set in 2021-22 (15G, 15A in 47 games).
What’s it going to take to get him up with the #NHLJets?
