You have $170k in PRIVATE student loans to become a nurse and you’re filming this in scrubs like we owe you sympathy. Lady, you signed the papers. Every. Single. One. No new clothes in 6 years? Shoes with holes? Can’t eat out? Cut your own hair? That’s not ‘the system.’ That’s adult choices with compound interest. Private loans don’t get forgiven by crying. You ‘chose this’ — now own it instead of guilt-tripping the rest of us who didn’t take out a mortgage for a degree. Taxpayers aren’t your co-signer. Work harder, live leaner, pay it back. The entitlement is louder than the debt.

@andersonirpfpca @HistorianUSA1 @PatriotVato88 @JessCAGrl4Life5 they all should work and start paying back loans while going to school. Interest accrues and it’s simply deferred. It is not free money. I worked all throughout college. If you or your family don’t have money, you can’t be just sitting on your ass for 4-5 yrs. I studied + worked

Reminder that usury is a sin. Yes, people should know how interest and minimum payments work. But that doesn't excuse an immoral practice. I always get flak when I call out usury, and it just boggles my mind that anyone defends it.
MatrixMysteries@MatrixMysteries

An American checks her student loans. She borrowed $49,548.74. After 120 payments, she’s paid $25,558.36. Her current balance? $50,121.33. After PAYING $25k… she now owes MORE than she originally borrowed. This isn’t aid — it’s legalized USURY.

@KuismaPasi @William82989429 @TheLaurenChen Or maybe if you can’t afford it, don’t go to a private school that costs $50k a year. Why are parents taking kids on college tours all over the place? I went to a state college, worked throughout and graduated w zero debt. Jst bc you get accepted doesn’t mean you have to go.

@dea_longo @William82989429 @TheLaurenChen Or we can introduce a system where state doesn’t guarantee banks free money. Let free market decide loans. Banks will stop giving out loans when people default and aren’t bailout by government. Also universities can’t jack up prices when there isn’t free money floating around.

@dougjamesm @GraveWolfSif @TheLaurenChen If you know how it works, then you should understand why the bal has grown exponentially. It is doubtful if any portion of the pmt is going towards the principal.

@KuismaPasi @William82989429 @TheLaurenChen Hmm, interest is simply deferred, it keeps accruing on day 1 of the loan. It’s not min pmts, it’s interest only pmts. 1. Don’t go to a school you can’t afford, 2. Get a job, begin making pmts right away.

@William82989429 @TheLaurenChen Minimum payment that doesn’t lower principal is just debt slavery. Interest should be amortised on X years and if person fails to pay they should file bankruptcy. Current GOP invented system where interest is start heavy which means no principal is payed and bankruptcy is illegal

@gumballpro2022 @MatrixMysteries I have a solar but still use electricity sparingly. Calif. has the highest electricity rates in the country so a $400 bill for a family household would be correct.

An American breaks down what it costs to live in Southern California. $5,082 mortgage. $400 electric. $750 insurance. Vehicle payments everywhere. Bills stacked on bills. Nearly $10,000 a month just to exist. And this is what “middle class” looks like now.

Woman: ”I am a woman of color, daughter of immigrants, Muslim feminist, lefty liberal. Am I your enemy?” Jared Taylor: ”You're not subjectively my enemy. But what you are promoting will lead to the disappearance of my people and my culture. And I'll tell you this: It annoys me tremendously when I'm told by some immigrant or a child of immigrants that the only reason my country is worthwhile is because people like them have come here. It's as if to say my ancestors built a dung heap. And I don't doubt your good will, but your goodwill is objectively going to lead to the oblivion of my people. I'm sorry, there is no other way to see it.”

Merseyside police came to my home to arrest my son through face recognition. He was accused of theft , when the police produced the picture from face recognition it was clear the perpetrator was Pakistani decent with a full beard and a very fat belly clearly nothing like my son. You couldn't make it up!

@dyonisos_dance @WojPawelczyk You shouldn’t speak without knowing. They have a chimney. I was born/raised in Eastern Europe, and though we didn’t have these, we had wood burning stoves w a chimney. So coal was used to make the wood burn slower and the fire last longer.

@WojPawelczyk You do really celebrate stoneage heating in Eastern European countries? These were fired with coal by the way and made the air impossible to breathe during winter time.

If you're a foreigner visiting Poland and you rent a room in our country, you might wonder what this is. It's called a tile stove, or masonry heater. Polish tile stoves have been the original heating power banks for generations. All you have to do is burn wood for 1-2 hours, close the hatch, and the heavy ceramic structure traps the heat, warming the room for the next 12 to 24 hours. In the past, it was the coziest spot in winter. In old Polish folklore, lazy people were jokingly described as "sitting on the stove" usually sharing space with the family cat. Some tile stoves had a special built-in bench or platform right next to them called a "zapiecek" where elderly people would literally sleep on it to soothe back pain, rheumatism, and winter colds. Tile stoves are still quite popular in Poland.

@travelingflying It's like none of you listen to Christ's teachings. It's incredible how out of touch everyone is. Why even be a Christian at this point? "Yeah, I believe Christ is King and I love Hitler" It has to be something in the water. 😂

Once the card is inserted in the Yoto while connected to WiFi, it will initiate the download. You used to have to take the card out and plug in the Yoto for it to finish downloading but I think they fixed that in an OS update. Pro tip: just buy the blank cards and visit your local library for any child friendly audiobook.

Yoto player is a fantastic invention. We have them for our kids. We were thinking about giving them tape players to listen to stuff but then we discovered the Yoto and it achieves the same thing in a more modern way. They have great stories, classics, and geography, science and stuff like that too. Our kids honestly learn a lot of great stuff from them. A great alternative to screens on long trips etc.. Listening to something is different than watching. I think it's because when listening we still have to use our imagination in some way. Like listening to a book, or a radio broadcast (in the old days) etc... I think there is a little more going on in our brain. Yoto is good.
Charlie Petty@incredutility

Another iPad alternative is the Yoto player - audiobooks, podcasts, and music for kids. They also have an amazing BBC-style daily news report! Strong recommend.

@vgqq6423936anjh @BeginnerAverage @WallStreetApes She took out a loan, has income to pay, hence the pmt amount is based on her income. Instead she goes for more schooling and likely taking out more loans. Imagine paying $94 on your mortgage or car loan. It wouldn’t get you very far. She has no intention of paying

American has been paying $94 per month for her student loans She just had to do her income-driven recertification Her new required payment increased from $94 per month to $934 a month “I'm not paying them, like what the f*ck” Student loans are a scam and textbook predatory lending This situation is very common right now in 2026 to see 10x jumps in payments. Thousands of borrowers are experiencing during IDR recertification Recertification was delayed for years
Due to COVID pauses, legal battles over the SAVE plan that was blocked in courts and later terminated and processing backlogs at the Department of Education Many people hadn’t had their income officially re-evaluated since 2020–2022. The system finally began forcing recertifications in 2026 It pulled your most recent higher income for everyone who has to re-certify. Even if your income only rose modestly since 2017-2020, that multi-year gap makes the new payment jump feel massive Student loans are a scam, because of interest it takes people a lifetime to pay them back

@DavidRu54517622 @BeginnerAverage @WallStreetApes There are plenty of countries where if you don’t have the money to pay tuition, you don’t get to go to college. Here they give you a loan, so you can go. Which one do you prefer? This doesn’t mean you should go get a BS degree at a private college.

@BeginnerAverage @mat0366 @WallStreetApes That is not entirely true. As someone who went into college and got 2 degrees w zero student loans or help, I can tell you it is actually the parents who take their kids on tours at expensive private colleges. Just bc you get in, doesn’t mean you have to go. State schools exist.

@mat0366 @WallStreetApes It's a whole rigged system that starts in middle school. Kids are told repeatedly that if they don't get good grades and get accepted to college, they will be poor their whole lives. Public college used to be affordable until the banks got involved

This American has a masters degree and 5 years experience in marketing She’s been applying for jobs but cant get a callback She finally did get a callback from a job that only requires a high school diploma “My rent payment is half of my monthly salary, not including bills, not including any other expenses” If you add in other expenses, plus taxes and health insurance she will likely have no money left Reminder, she has a masters degree….. The job market is only going to get harder because of AI According to data current job seekers sometimes hand to put in over 200 application before finding a job Deport 20 million illegals and jobs will definitely open up, rent prices will definitely drop
