@ItemsENABLED @CosmoTheKaiju I kinda agree but to be fair... the mechanic doesn't really serve a purpose. Items are also a semi-random mechanic that comp players disliked, but casuals enjoy the fun randomness. Tripping... I have yet to meet anyone who LIKED it, people either don't mind it or hate it

@bigTfromthadmv The point is to tell a different non-canon story, not replace the one we have. The line makes sense regardless because, again, it's about their backstory which takes place well before any game. I don't like the commentary either, but the dialogue from 5 is far from a problem...

Using DMC5 dialogue is hardly problematic when it's about their backstory, which happened way before DMC3 chronologically. And your screenshots are pointless.

Sparda was of the latter : he wasn't good from the start, he changed his nature. We don't know what he thought of the nice demons or if he knew they existed.

If he’s not, his crusade is hollow and at worst self destructive, cause he’s either killing his own people that he knows is innocent, or abandoning people he knows are innocent
