i wish i had parents like those some people have, thatd hug you tight when youre a kid and had a nightmare. that say everythings gonna be okay. that care when u seem sad. parents that listened. or at least parents that wouldnt only be good when in front of other people.

i always crave so bad to have the strongest deepest truest connection when i dont even have any friends because they surely dont know me at all. ive never had any friends in my whole life. ive never had no one. i need someone, i just want this nightmare to end.

@Eventuallydead yeah, it does make sense! idk if him being bossy or "bratty" IS related to that, given the fact he could really be just heavily traumatized or something of the sort. but the theory indeed is pretty consistent

@deadosamu_ I saw someone support the big rich family argument by saying that dazai doesn't have problems with money like the other orphans and that dazai was very bossy ordering people around at 15 bc he had servants before so that made a lot of sense to me

@Eventuallydead character development. i kinda like to think of dazai being an orphan of a regular family because it would imply that he was "destined" to misfortune, contributing to his view of "everybody i love dies or suffer". but this is a very wild guess.

@Eventuallydead yes! i think sigma waking up is what'll explain most of fyodors backstory, if its gonna be explained at all. the only hint abt dazais family we have until now is when dazai tells atsushi "when someone's father dies, they tend to cry" around chapter 50, implying dazais an orphan

@Eventuallydead EXACTLY. i also think the story is getting too unnecessarily prolongated. the answers we needed could be easily provided in pt. 1, but its like asagiri chose to give us little to no info about MOST CHARACTERS just to make an infinite manga apparently.
