I don't know what to say. Asians in America have been saying the same thing for so long and so often get dismissed or ignored. The current wave of anti-Asian rhetoric and violence is really an ongoing one.

For everyone who needs a space and a moment of solidarity with one another, there are a few different events being planned. Here are a few of them. I will keep adding as I get fliers for other ones.

If you’ve read Dr. Seuss to your kids w/o discussing the gross caricatures; if you don’t own books by AA authors; if you haven’t taught them abt, say, the Chinese Exclusion Act; if you think you don’t need to teach them abt anti-Asian racism bc they would never do that ...

At 6 & 7, my kids already had “slant eyes” pulled at them, “ching chong” jabbered at them, heard “Chinamen bow like this” so many times that, for too long, they internalized the shame & wished they were white. #StopAsianHate #StopAAPIHate

please talk to your children if you haven't already done so, Asian babies across America are being told by classmates that they're to blame for the pandemic & for the deaths of millions. @nicolesjchung has really good advice on why "there’s no neutral choice or position here"
