Police treating it as a hate crime. 5 youths arrested: 3 on suspicion of affray, racially aggravated fear/provocation of violence & GBH with intent; 2 more on affray. All bailed while probe continues. Zara shuts up & hides while parents protest outside demanding answers. Corporate cowards ABANDONED a child to brutal violence.

Tomorrow I will vote no on Bill C-9. The Liberals' decision to shut down debate on this deeply concerning Bill and rush its passage through the House is wrong. I submitted to the House a petition from local faith leaders that warned of the dangers of ignoring the concerns of Canada's many faith communities regarding Bill C-9. Civil liberty groups and major unions echoed these concerns. C-9 will only chill freedom of speech and weaken our ability to combat hate. It should not be passed.

I started listening to Pink Floyd for the first time a few weeks ago and I think The Wall is one of the greatest works of art (of any kind) of the last century. I have listened to it countless times over the past month and it’s really on the level of any incredible long poem or symphony. Most people probably already know this, but if you haven’t listened, please do from start to finish—it is one of the most incredible things ever.
