On Wednesday, Alabama Governor Kay Ivey has set a June 11, 2026 execution date for Jeffrey James Lee. The method of execution will be carried out by Nitrogen Hypoxia as his preferred method.

TODAY: Florida is scheduled to carry out the execution of Chadwick Scott Willacy for the murder of Marlys Mae Bakke Sather during a botched robbery on September 5, 1990. His execution is set to be the 4th execution in the state for the year.

14 years ago (April 20, 2012) Delaware executed Shannon Johnson for the murder of Cameron Hamlin (May 10, 1981 - September 24, 2006) in 2006. Prior to that, he was also a convicted rapist. He waived his appeals that resulted in his speedy execution under 10 years.
