@khamelleon1 worth of note is that NA fanfest is also in april, so. doubt that people who won't even make a ruckus online would say or do anything in person, though, so dunno how much hope i have for fans in attendance to ask for answers. maybe media channels might, though.

seeing people argue over JB being too busy to film bri**erton too makes me laugh at this point the discourse is the same not matter the fandom. what does the guy have time for atp in some people's minds? we may never know 😭

@khamelleon1 the more optimistic scenario would be that they still don't say anything, but JB returns in 7.5 like nothing ever happened, which would be in 4 or so months from now. either way, it's anxiety and worry until then at the very earliest, since i doubt SE is gonna say jack shit atp

@khamelleon1 fuck apologies, i just wish they'd stop burying their heads in the sand and made a 2 minute forum post to add to the number of people this recast would upset in a channel SE supposedly sees. instead they seem to think "if you think it's not JB, that means you hope it's not him!"

@khamelleon1 9/11 for the "it's totally still bailey, he's just sick!" copers if it ends up being the case. half a year is optmistic also, pretty sure credits only roll in either 7.55 or 7.58, so we're looking at anywhere from 8 to 10 months.

@Mimelsan i'll always give more grace to people (even those i obviously don't know personally) than corporations, so it's always a surprise to me finding people using their free time to shell for faceless conglomerates known for screwing over employees and audience alike. what a world!

@ChrisCryst0l if you've said your piece in the forums i think there's not much left to do, yes. i do share your feelings in wanting to be hopeful. it's just funny to see the "too busy" argument repeated even in a mainstream fandom—it's a small world, whether you like him for g'raha or anthony.

@deathflares Tbh I’ve said my peace about the situation, I’ll look for updates here and there but anything said until we get something confirmed is still speculation even we have a pretty good understanding of the timeline of events. Still worried about it but I want to be hopeful

forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/… there is a forum thread discussing this; if jonathan bailey as graha matters to you, *please* make your voice heard. this isn't a debate on whether a recast has happened or not, it is an issue of respect and transparency with the EN community.

we should spend less time arguing about whether jonathan bailey got recast and more posting in the official forums about the fact that SE knows he sounds incredibly off this patch (hence them omitting his voice from the EN trailer only) and are choosing to say nothing about it.
