@NotThaatKewl @nihongowacaran Am I the only one that immediately thought “ok…jelly beans!”? 🤣🤷🏻♀️
English

@nihongowacaran Ohh got it now. Yes, they are soft and squishy 😄 the word Jelly fits well.

@mrfishtopher I always pause and really look at Fishtopher’s face when you post a new picture because I am still just in awe over his transformation. I am so happy for him, and for you 🥹

@crits4cats it's not even the chaos that gets me, its the fact that he 1. pressed the button to turn it on 2. waited for it to heat up 3. pressed ANOTHER button to make him a cup of coffee

we live on a planet where trees warn each other of danger through underground networks. where octopuses dream. where elephants return to the bones of their dead and stand over them in silence. where bees communicate through dance, showing each other where to fly. where flowers bloom...where crows remember human faces -especially those who were cruel to them - and pass that memory on to their young. where ants build entire cities. where cats purr at a frequency that can help heal bones. where forests, after fires, grow flowers first.

@HurricaneManWx For those of us that live in Southwest Florida…not so much 🥴

One thing I've noticed: the break between hurricanes in South Florida is getting longer. It used to be a constant thing (every 5 years max), but now we're seeing 5-7 year return period. That number will continue to extend since Miami/broward hasn't seen a hurricane since 2005

After months, I was finally able to combine both my hurricane landfall and return period datasets for the U.S. into one massive infographic. I absolutely love this. What an insane map to look at!

@weskrantz That’s so funny! We have the same, and our cat uses it to wake us up for his breakfast EARLY every morning. He’s a ginger so we call him the Strawberry Alarm Clock. (IYKYK 😉)

florida is such a funny state. stunning stuff like this, and then you take the next turn and you find two seniors fist fighting in a publix parking lot in 85% humidity while a truck swerves into cop while the radio is playing bad bunny 😭

I recently learned that there were fireflies in Florida so I went to see them
English

@greatjobjimmy @juliancd38 I am also a lifelong Floridian, have seen them like this while camping at Oscar Scherer State Park. It’s absolutely magical!
English

@juliancd38 I've lived in Florida my entire life and I've never seen them this dense. Or during the day. Where is this?
