@CatherineKU72 Agreed. The problem is here is a lack of respect of the discipline and perceived lack of utility in the workplace coupled with some challenges with students being told that meeting the two years for graduation requirements is sufficient.

@debbiecallihan They shouldn’t be dwindling. The rumors that a language is easier &/ more important don’t take into account that not all students will reach a high enough professional/functional level. There are millions of heritage speakers who will have a head start on non-heritage speakers
