@NathanRef96 It was a fantastic game of football , the Heybridge goal keeper was absolutely brilliant- pure class Player of the night for me.
Both Teams displayed quality, and the pitch didn't hold up too bad either in all that rain - lots of positives

@debfoakes1 Appreciate your feedback & everyone has opinions on things in football. One thing I can promise you tho is the 3 of us decisions certainly wasn’t swayed by anybody shouting ect. For 87 minutes a fantastic game of football ! Shame no one talks about that some brilliant goals 👏🏼

Looks like another “exciting” night with the local Maldon Heybridge U18 derby lol couldn’t get there tonight but I hear there all fighting on the pitch this time, three red cards and a couple of yellows AND one off to hospital! For the love of god what’s wrong with these people! @officialswifts @MaldonTiptreeFC

@Gaydads You weren’t at the game so can’t really comment on it not knowing the full story i know there is a media team and veo but wouldn’t of caught the full incident it was your bench that rushed on and started the brawl so when trying to slander heybridge consider your teams own action

Still unbeaten in our last seven games. After a two-hour journey there and a long trip home, we leave @NewmarketTownFC with one point.
Scott and I are immensely proud of this group of players, their attitude, their work rate, and the way they continue to represent this club week in, week out. They gave everything again tonight, and they deserve real credit for that. @MikeFaulkner_ was fantastic again tonight and got us on the scoreboard, supported by the rest of the team.
We are equally proud of our supporters. A strong group travelled midweek, covered serious miles, backed the team for 90 minutes, and conducted themselves properly throughout. That loyalty does not go unnoticed. It matters to this club, and it matters to the players. I always notice social media of home clubs thanking the home fans for supporting but never mentioning the away fans who came and travelled for hours to get there on a Tuesday night which was cold and dark.
Scott and I will continue to back these boys wherever they go. Win, lose, or draw, that support is non-negotiable. Much Credit also to Newmarket Town FC for the facilities and the half-time hospitality, which was appreciated. Especially the tea as it was so chilly tonight!
It was good to see former Maldon players in the Newmarket side and to see one of them on the scoresheet. Josh is a very good player. Newmarket’s number 8, Lennon King, i think on loan from Cambridge United, another team with the Maldon connection through the amazing Neil Harris who i got to meet for the first time this weekend, was also excellent. He was quick, composed, and in control throughout. A real standout and a credit to this club.
Most Newmarket supporters were welcoming and respectful. A small minority were not. Rude, insecure, attention-seeking behaviour has no place in non-league football. @Lockwood13Wayne was particularly keen to make himself known, for all the wrong reasons. A scruffy little man with no manners whatsoever, demanding his 15 mins of fame, so i am happy to oblige. Another stalker/keyboard warrior with time on his hands to sit and abuse anyone who does not fit his narrative.
Away supporters should not be seen as the problem, they are the lifeblood of this level of football. They travel for hours, spend money in bars and food outlets, and help keep clubs running. Baiting or bullying visiting fans only ensures they won’t return, and that damages clubs, not opposition supporters. Especially fans that bring a bunch of fans with them and also ensure you have the best Tuesday night attendance you have had in the past 5 years!
Non-league football should not be about online abuse, posturing, or mob mentality. It is about football, community, and hosting properly. Baiting a team about their financial status when clearly most clubs in the leagues at this level don't have much stability is crude and common. Each club attracts the players it has and can get because of what is on offer to that player. You offer what you can and hope for the best. Some are in a better position than others and thats ok too. Clearly you can still win a point, and be in the mid range section of the league even on your budget. So don't get eat up on what others are paying their players. It all works out in the end!
Despite the distance, the conditions, and the behaviour of a few, we travelled to support our players and the matchday operation. We would do it again without hesitation. That is why we go. That is what this game should always be about for everyone, but most of all, it is the clubs responsibility to make sure the environment is a safe place for all those that visit, both physically and mentally, for players and visitors alike. Up the Jammers!

That's a red card all day long .... but not for him 🫣
Football Confidential 🌐@footballconfid1
Here’s the full clip again, showing Martinelli smacking the ball on Conor Bradley, then kneeing and pushing him off the pitch. Disgraceful. Rancid. Call it whatever you want. But it certainly isn’t a surprise considering the club and manager he plays for.

lol giving it big time!?! We are an 8th tier part time club playing against a league one team lol 😂 mate come on, the moment your lot bought your tickets and turned up, my job was done😜 like I’ve been saying for two weeks, we just had to turn up and play a game for our big pay day! Win or loose it was a brilliant day for us AND on top of that, we met some super nice people from a really decent club! So all in all, TV, publicity for the club, share of gate and the monetisation value of social media, which will bring in more than all of the above lol we hit the lottery for one day lol best day of the season so far for us! Could not have done that with the help and support of all the keyboard warriors and haters😜 so I thank you to all that helped contribute to our league run and continued success in the all important league challenge this year! 😜 and a new 3G pitch for training and our youth teams!!! Thank you Jesus! X
