@cgy_guy @grok @JeffreyRWRath @ABDanielleSmith (Cont)I started looking into the acquisition of the territory AB would become, years ago. My family has been here centuries(British descent). The govt papers indicate that they knew at that time that no consultation was a problem. @nationalpost @CTVNews Get access to archives.

@cgy_guy @grok (Cont) So, through no consultation being carried out by Canada with the inhabitants of the area which would become AB, and with the people being a package deal with the purchase, CANADA ENGAGED IN SLAVERY….which was illegal. @JeffreyRWRath @ABDanielleSmith (Cont)

I’m Métis. My family has been in the Alberta region long before Canada was a country or Alberta was a province. @grok can you tell me if Alberta Métis were asked if they wanted to join Canada in 1905? Maybe the right judge can decide to take Alberta out of Canada, since we don’t seem to care about Democracy anymore.

@TheoSaurus9 @MarcNixon24 @MarkJCarney (Cont) problem and making it worse. @MarkJCarney and @ABDanielleSmith aren’t looking in the right direction; they aren’t shoring up the structure. They think big business will save them, but the signs are everywhere that the giants are about to crash. Worse than 2008.

@TheoSaurus9 @MarcNixon24 (Cont) than Canada gained. All @MarkJCarney has left in his toolbox is forced mandatory spending through the form of “green” policy. The political class are fools. They chase the latest shiny version of snake oil expecting magic results. They are taking a structural (cont)

So let me get this straight… Canada is supposed to go fully electric while the rest of the world moves away from Net Zero policies and ramps up oil, gas and coal production? How exactly does destroying our own energy sector “save the planet” if global emissions keep rising anyway? Mark Carney is already warning Canadians they’ll need to “sacrifice more” and if we get it wrong, energy prices could become astronomical. So the plan is to cripple our own industry… then import foreign oil and gas at higher prices? This may be the most absurd economic strategy Canada has ever embraced. How did Canadians get stuck with Mr. Net Zero?

@MarcNixon24 “Mark Carney is already warning Canadians they’ll need to “sacrifice more” and if we get it wrong, energy prices could become astronomical. “ What he’s not saying,is he actually means electricity. Look to Lake Tahoe for what is coming. 🇨🇦 about to be destroyed by data centres.

@sarobertson_ Thatcher destroyed huge swathes of her own country. Created areas of mass unemployment and destitution. Perhaps @ABDanielleSmith is channeling her inner Thatcher, which conveniently does the bidding of @MarkJCarney and the Liberals. This referendum scenario = Maggie’s poll tax.

UCP/Smith will tell us that if we want independence we will have to run a party and win an election on the issue, when they told us and the federal law claimed otherwise moving the goalposts is so LIB ps even if we get our own party and run an election the feds will not allow us to leave, peacefully

@AlbertaLeonidas 1. Get control of the UCP constituency associations 2. Choose pro-independence candidates 3. Run as UCP - no fuss 4. Post election, launch independence party 5. Mass floor crossing to the independence party Give @ABDanielleSmith a taste of her own medicine. 2027 for change!

@100Bagger2 @SValkyrie39246 @RiseOfAlberta Just think, if 100’s of thousands of Germans had mass migrated to Canada, Canada would now have an amazing auto industry. Think of the where the Canadian manufacturing sector could be. Food for thought.

People say Alberta independence betrays the country veterans fought for. But what if today’s Canada no longer resembles that country? Alberta may be the last place still fighting for the values Canada used to stand for.

@SValkyrie39246 @RiseOfAlberta Canadians fighting in WW2 weren’t fighting for Canada, they were back up for Britain. Albertans sent to slaughter, used as a disposable resource by the Motherland.

@RiseOfAlberta Those who served in WW2 did not fight for today’s Canada. They fought to prevent the very path we are going down. Unfortunately they only delayed it.

@RiseOfAlberta WW1- Canadians were forced to fight for Britain as Canada was a dominion of GB. WW2- Canadians were fighting to back up Britain. Isn’t it time Albertans create a scenario so they are no longer sent to slaughter for the Motherland? A reason for independence.
