@circlesize i definitely have been frustrated by the hp system but some of the most exciting moments for me when i was new were because of the spikiness of hp it's not a good indicator of performance but that doesn't necessarily make it "unfair" at low sr (esp. where notelock is a nonissue)

I cannot fathom how people genuinely think the hp system is fair. I think people are just too bad at the game to play maps where it really sucks and i dont mean that in a toxic way

pointing at this tweet again this issue will never be remedied so long as BNs and NAT take the fall for our incompetent PP devs rank MORE slop and the pressure will be put on the PP devs to balance it out

@yuuhei oh I definitely agree with you in that case! i think a lot of people only map this style for the pp but in general I think it's ok for people to map "for pp" or for whatever other reason as long as the end result makes a good map, then it's ok to rank

decasama sorry for the misunderstanding. I wasn't talking about the low quality map. I'm only talking about style. I feel that the low quality map is being produced by the pp being obtained. In other words, when pp stops coming in, I think that genre will go out of business.(generalization rather than obsolescence?or generic? I think it will.) Right now no one is talking about 1-2jump anymore lol

I'll jot down my thoughts quickly between tasks. sry if my english is hard to read. most ppl criticizing aimslop cite the abuse of the pp system as their reason. If everyone truly enjoys aimslop for the maps' fun factor, then even if you drastically reduce the pp, the maps' fun factor won't change. but if you're playing aimslop solely for the pp, then essentially you're on the same side as those criticizing the pp system. some might point out the quality of aimslop, but I don't think quality is a major issue. I don't think this needs any explanation. what do you think about this idea? I think aimslop can exist, but I believe the problem lies in a system where pp gets overly involved.

It's good that this is happening now because we can genuinely calibrate the system. Right now there's too much of an incentive to veto (arguably because we overcompensated on accident) but also, vetoes just mean less (which hasn't popped in for most people). (1/2)
