At lunch, you bring it up. Your coworkers nod. Of course they do. Why wouldn’t they? It sounds real. Now five more people carry that same anger. They go home. They repeat it. To friends. To family. Online. Just like that, one headline becomes thousands of convictions. But here is what never made it into that headline what you did not see, what no one bothered to check: It wasn’t America. It wasn’t Israel. It was a failed missile fired by the IRGC that fell on its own people. And by the time the truth shows up, if it ever does, the damage is already done. チェンソーマン2部を読み終えた。はっきり言って3部はないと思う。少なくとも“必要ない”。この作品の本質は、物語の因果や展開の連続性そのものではなく、「デンジにとって幸せとは何か」 を問い続けることにあったのだと思う。 そう考えると、デンジ以外のキャラクターたちは、もちろん人格を持った存在ではありつつも、構造としてはあくまでその問いを照らすための記号だった。デンジが何に飢え、何を求め、何を得てもなお満たされないのか。 その検証を繰り返してきた物語だった。 そして辿り着いた結末は、ひとつの答えを示している。 夢とは叶っていないからこそ人を前に進ませるということ。 夢を叶えた先に待っているのは、永遠の救済ではない。 あるのは一瞬の輝きと、夢見ていた時間が終わってしまったことによる虚無。 望んでいたものを手に入れた瞬間、人は「次に何を望めばいいのか」がわからなくなる。 だからデンジは、再び夢を見ることのできる場所へ戻ったのだと思う。それは敗北でも後退でもなく、もう一度“生きる”ための再出発。 もちろん、その新しい夢も、時間が経てば少しずつ叶っていくのだろう。 そしてまた、夢見る時間は終わりに近づいていく。 けれど人生とは、たぶんそういうもの。 『生きる意味を見失ったら？』 『また探せばいいよ』 何かひとつの答えに辿り着いて終わるのではなく、 満たされなさや空白を抱えたまま、それでも次の何かを望み続ける。 だとすれば、人生の本質とは「答えを得ること」ではなく、 問い続けることそのものなのかもしれない。チェンソーマンは、そのことをデンジの人生を通して描いた。
