Thinking back, I'd have to say 90% of what was considered the highlight of normal and harmless fun in the 70s and early 80s would be labeled as death-defying madness today. You'd leave home in the morning and be home before the streetlights were lit. There was absolutely zero adult supervision. It seems miraculous that we're still here.
I remember one time my brother and I built this insane dirt ramp at the bottom of a stupidly steep hill. The mission was simple: haul ass down the hill, hit the ramp, and see how far we could fly.I went first, naturally — because someone had to test it.
So I’m bombing down this hill like a maniac, hit the ramp perfectly, and for one glorious second I was actually airborne… until the front wheel of my bike decided it had better places to be. It shot straight off the forks and kept flying like it was trying to set a personal record. The rest of the bike? Not so much.
I came down hard, chest-first onto the handlebars. All the air left my body like I’d been punched by God himself. I’m lying there on the ground, mouth open like a fish, waiting for my lungs to remember their job, while my brother and our friends are absolutely dying laughing.
Nine years old and already winning Darwin Awards in real time.
And the crazy part? That was one of the smarter things I did as a kid.
To begin with, this will be very unsettling for humanity. Before we even unpack the possibility that we're being consumed by these other beings.
The discovery of this coexistence will be the emotional equivalent of walking a metaphorical tight rope that's merely a foot above ground then suddenly learning it's a thousand feet instead.
So this will open up a big debate, but just have to ask....how do you really feel about this situation?
Me...i am intrigued, fascinated, and at times a little freaked out about how calmly everyone is taking this...
Are you comfortable with the status quo?
Are you one of those people who says let's just NOT rock this boat?
Or do you just not give a fuck about the other, technologically superior, non-human species living on the bottom of this planet's oceans ? And who are probably the ones living on the Moon?
Cats also stop snakes, rats and mice when it comes to farm life. I'm a dog person, but when it comes to farming, cats are the priority. A cat will inadvertently keep the lives of farmers and their dogs safe from snake bites. Quite often when a dog protects its owner from snakes, it doesn't survive.
@clif_high Everyone should share this far and wide and listen to it every week. So far, it has spelled out everything that has already happened, what’s occurring right now, and all that’s coming down the pipeline."
jesus was a criminal to the jews and they killed him for his 'crimes' against their ritual base worship of space aliens (the elohim).
No wonder Blackrock doesn't want it out there.
Can't be idolizing criminals that give jews shit fits. x.com/ShadowofEzra/s…
German medical researchers have engineered a novel, injectable hydrogel designed to stimulate the biological regeneration of articular cartilage. This non-surgical approach aims to directly repair joint damage and restore natural cushioning without relying on invasive and costly joint replacement procedures.
Orthopedic experts note that osteoarthritis and cartilage degradation affect hundreds of millions globally, often leading to debilitating pain and limited mobility. By utilizing a bioactive matrix that encourages the body's own stem cells to multiply and differentiate into healthy tissue, this gel could drastically shift treatment paradigms away from artificial implants.
The underlying technology relies on a specialized polymer network that seamlessly mimics the natural extracellular environment of human joints. Once introduced to the affected area, it acts as a supportive structural scaffold, safely dissolving over time as fresh, healthy cartilage takes its place.
Early clinical observations report a significant reduction in chronic joint inflammation and a much faster return to pain-free movement for affected participants. Unlike traditional surgical interventions, which frequently require months of strenuous physical therapy, this minimally invasive procedure could allow for an incredibly rapid recovery window.
While currently advancing through rigorous regulatory testing phases, the successful commercialization of this regenerative therapy could save global healthcare systems billions in surgical and rehabilitation costs. It offers a highly promising future where debilitating joint conditions are managed with a simple outpatient visit, permanently restoring active lifestyles for aging populations and athletes alike.
If this non-surgical treatment becomes widely available, how would the ability to naturally regrow joint cartilage change your approach to staying active?
We creatures powered by sweat and blood,
Reason trapped in flesh risen from mud,
bound to walk this Earth
ever wrapped in Thought,
knowing not what our body's Lives have wrought,
in the Universe's Grander scheme,
for us all, it is but a mid Summer's Night's Dream.
Apologies to the Bard.
"Ay me! For aught that I could ever read,
Could ever hear by tale or history,
The course of true love never did run smooth;
But, either it was different in blood,
O cross! too high to be enthrall’d to low.
Or else misgraffed in respect of years,
O spite! too old to be engag’d to young.
Or else it stood upon the choice of friends,
O hell! to choose love by another’s eye."
So @1HeidVandenberg and i have many of the issues that Shakespeare elucidates here. Age, circumstance, lives stiffened by past challenges, but Love has not been our problem.
i do love Heidi. She agrees she wants to pursue a future together. We are working on it, and committed to success. NOT that any of it will be easy or simple.
The course of true love never did run smooth. That's ok, it's just the way it is.
Success is inevitable if you never give up.
What happens when your liberal neighbor has a daily fight with you over your Trump flag? On this day he takes his eye off the road to flip you the bird.
@chrismac3500@AllieJade1 Did you ever notice that the colour of the road, looking through the windscreen, was different to the road colour looking through the rear view mirror? The cast of sunlight at certain times of the day.
@AllieJade1 I've driven it three times, twice east-west and once west-east.
Not bad driving.
I wouldn't recommend driving that highway in one drive. Best to stop at the rest stops and road houses.
Fun fact, there are several airplane runways marked along that highway for emergencies.
There's one country that can claim it has the longest straight road in the world. Is it the US? Nope, it's Australia! The Eyre Highway is a 1,664-kilometre (1,034 mi) highway linking Western Australia and South Australia. To complete it in one drive - it would take approximately 12 hours to complete. Can you imagine driving on something that straight and monotonous for 12 hours? Could you do it?
@thesigmamindset She, just like each one of us, made this small but critical error. Instead of infinitely trying to change by thinking in the past and the future. Simply think as though it has already occurred, that which you desire, you already possess. It will manifest without fail.
