This unequivocally confirms three things: a) The game had not finished. b) The referee had not blown the whistle. c) The much ended because of the pitch invasion, and the perceived safety risk to Hearts players. There's no ambiguity now.

Had the ref waited until the pitch was cleared and restarted the game, how many seconds would he have had to play to blow full-time. Not many. Not enough for a 2 goal deficit to be overturned.
