As 2025 draws to a close, we want to celebrate what we have achieved together and to look ahead with renewed determination, energy and hope. This year has been extraordinary for our Movement. From powerful #RedLineToBillionaires actions in January to inspiring People’s Assemblies showcasing national demands and bold mobilisations under #RiseFor, we have shown what is possible when the 99% unite against the injustice of inequality. Our 10-Year Roadmap felt ambitious when we launched it in Kathmandu in July 2023. Today, thanks to your leadership, it is not just a vision but an inspiration turning our hopes for an equal world into reality. The Global Assembly and We The 99% People’s Summit in Johannesburg this November were defining moments. With 20 national People’s Assemblies and regional processes shaping a truly global declaration, the strength and diversity we witnessed during the week were undeniable. For many of us, the most profound sign of success was seeing leadership and strategic drive coming from an increasing number of national alliances stepping forward with confidence and sharp political analysis, proof that we are building something bigger than any one of us. The power of broad based collectives was clear in national campaigns across our alliances. From People’s Assemblies demanding accountability from elected representatives in Zambia, to a push for public healthcare in Zimbabwe that increased supplies to the largest public hospital, to the setting of a minimum support price for wheat farmers in Pakistan. These are real, tangible improvements to people’s lives and the foundation of a movement driving change to an unjust economic system. Across continents, you have organised, mobilised, and amplified voices to challenge the 1%. Every assembly, every creative protest, every call to action has built our collective force. These gains are stepping stones toward a world where the collective power of the 99% outweighs the wealth and power of the 1%. We know the road ahead will not be easy. The forces driving the inequality crisis are growing, from billionaire oligarchy and corporate greed to climate injustice, shrinking civic space, and rising authoritarianism. These challenges are real, but so is our resolve. Our movement remains a powerful alternative, reimagining a world built on justice, dignity, and equality. As we head into 2026, let us carry this energy into the #RedLineAgainstBillionaires action from 11 to 25 January and beyond. Let’s aim for actions that are bold, creative, and sustainable, energising our movement while staying true to our values of care and solidarity. Thank you for your courage, commitment, and leadership. Our shared vision is alive and gaining strength every day because of you. Take time to rest and recharge. Self-care is a powerful feminist tool. And let’s rise again, together, for our Global Week of Action in January. 🚨“Africa’s wealth is not missing — it’s being siphoned off.” 4 billionaires = more wealth than 750M people. This isn’t fate. It’s policy failure. And it’s fixable. 📢 Read the new Oxfam report: oxfam.org/en/press-relea…

This is what collective action looks like – a wave of bold action from hundreds of diverse people and organizations, united in their demand for a fairer world. It's time to draw a clear line and dismantle the systems that perpetuate extreme inequality. #TaxTheRich #CancelTheDebt

Dear President @CyrilRamaphosa, Here is a letter to you — from voices across the Global South. With the G20 Finance Ministers meeting in Durban for the final time before the Leaders’ Summit, this is the moment for decisive action that history will remember. As G20 Chair, you have the power to lead a bold response. #G20SouthAfrica must lead the way in creating an economy for the many, not the few. Tax the super-rich. Cancel the debt. Rewrite the global rules for people and the planet — not profit. The time for change is NOW. #TaxTheRich #CancelTheDebt #RedLineToBillionaires #FightInequality #G20

The data says it all 👀 Oxfam’s new #report “Not All in the Same Boat” reveals the deep injustice at the heart of the #climate crisis in #MENA region. While the ultra-rich few cruise on super-yachts, millions face record heat, drought and rising food prices. It’s time for rich polluters to pay for a just, green future. 🌍✊ Data visualisations by x.com/fedfragapane more here: policy-practice.oxfam.org/resources/not-…

#Seville was hot – and we turned up the heat even more! We marched with our allies to tell leaders at the UN International Conference on Financing for Development: Tax the rich, not the poor. Cancel the debt. Build a fair economic system. People across the Global South are watching – and they’re done with empty promises. ✊🏾 Hit like if you agree. Drop a comment if you are ready to join this fight. #RiseFor #FightInequality #FfD4 #FinanceForDevelopment
