Dr heckman of FIMM: 1) They first realized different cell types from the same AML patient respond differently to different drugs. 2) They conjectured therefore morphology can differentiate different drug response. 3) Then they validated that with Deepcell.

"Deepcell images every single particle so we were able to see a lot more debris and that means more careful sample prep."

Dr. Rivera: We were able to see significant difference in various morphological features between healthy cells, aging cells, passage cell etc.
