Pitch Perfect
Pitch Perfect@_pitch__perfect·
First of all, the final call is taken by unbiased ICC curators. Long back, it was always decided on which track the final would be played. India provides the best pitches, to be honest, as we have seen throughout the tournament. India played on the most number of different surfaces compared to every other team, which were based in certain venues only. In Australia, you will find the bounce which always supports them—why does no one bat an eye then? Here is Australia's winning campaign in the 2015 World Cup at home, and guess what: the conditions favoured them so much that their main spinner was Glenn Maxwell. Given the way everyone plays IPL, Indians have the least favourable advantages. Once we face others in Australia or South Africa, we are the ones facing alien conditions, not them. Being an Indian, let's rally behind the team. Whatever the pitch is offered, it is equal for both teams—does New Zealand play badly on certain types of tracks? They don't. Indian pulling Indians is the worst thing. Have we ever heard any Australian player, commentator or experts say, why Australia provides bouncy tracks and gives them undue advantage? Just because alot of boards dosent like BCCI power at the moment dosent mean everything is run unfairly.

My only disappointment is that ICC is giving undue advantage to BCCI in pitch preparations. The pitch should be competitive for both teams and should not be according to strength of the host team. @BCCI @ICC #T20WorldCup26

Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid have been some pair in Indian cricket. Both made their test debuts together for India. When Dada scored his first test 100, Dravid was on the other end. When Dravid crossed the 10000 run mark in tests, Ganguly was on the other end. Both have played under each under's captaincy for India. Ganguly played 113 tests for India, Dravid featured in each of them. Both played 256 ODIs for India together, the highest by an Indian pair. The 1st 300 runs+ partnership in ODIs involved both of them. In partnership they scored 7626 runs across both formats for India, the 4th highest by an Indian pair, including 21 century partnerships. Also both of them were the captains in the 1st ever game of the IPL.

@bhaleraosarang As an adult, it was 2018-2022 India's Test performances. Heartbreaks, memorable victories, just the quality of cricket played around the time was intense.

@ParthNagda07 @Pranay_Y2001 Had we done that we could've gone on to win 3-2 after being 0-2 down and would go down as the best series in history. But yeah hindsight can be tricky.

Wearing the Indian jersey, singing the anthem, and trying my best each time I stepped on the field - it’s impossible to put into words what it truly meant. But as they say, all good things must come to an end, and with immense gratitude I have decided to retire from all forms of Indian cricket. Thank you for all the love and support! 🙏🇮🇳

@Pranay_Y2001 Numbers just show the reality and more than that we who have seen Pujara live all these years would know the critical impact of his batting and what his contribution meant to the team.

@naughtyrobot725 @Pranay_Y2001 You win a match by being better than your opposition and one of those ways is to wear them down by keeping them on the field for as long as possible. We seldom consider how other batters cashed in on the platform Pujara set for them. It doesn't discount Pujara's impact.

@naughtyrobot725 It's pretty clear that bowlers literally win you matches. The best of the batters set up the match for the bowler to deliver. And as far as batting goes, impact of the player matters. You should see how relieved Aus was in the 24-25 series that Pujara wasn't there. @Pranay_Y2001

Pujara was never a WORLD CLASS player. Yes, he was great at home during 2016-19 and had a good tour of AUS in 18/19 but he was never a match winner. He could play a lot of balls and tire out the opposition but not someone whom I would love to see bat. The FAB 4 were MATCH WINNERS

@bhaleraosarang Pat Cummins is the only bowler in the history of ODI cricket to bowl a full quota of 10 overs without conceding a boundary. The occasion he achieved this is more exemplary - ODI World cup final 2023
