Took some really dumb trades on my live account this morning. Was going to sit out but woke up and decided to press buttons. Might take another couple days off. MDLL achieved. -$2,000🩸

Closed green on the eval today. $261. Starting to notice more of my setups are showing up in the afternoon session than the morning. Not sure if that's the market or just me seeing clearer later in the day. Going to track it.

The two types of traders 💰

Opened short today right at the zone on market open. Price rejected hard on the 5 min candle, pulled back into the zone, I entered on that retest. Flushed on the same candle. The thing I noticed today — usually when I enter, it goes red first and that uneasy feeling is almost always right. Bad entry. But when I wait for price to come to me, it turns green instantly. That's my setup confirming itself. If the pullback didn't happen, I wasn't taking the trade. No setup, no trade. Money saved is money earned.

Today was untradable. Gave back $400 fighting chop that had no business being traded. Closed the platform before it got worse. Honestly this market has been like this for a while now. No follow-through, levels getting swept and reversing instantly. Hard to trust anything. Some days the discipline is just closing the platform and protecting what you built.

Day 1 on the new eval. 7 trades. $121 net. 71% win rate. $1,378 left to hit the target. Not exciting numbers. But clean ones.

FOMC day. Normally I'd sit this one out entirely. But eval's active so I'm watching. If something clean shows up before the announcement, I'll consider it. If not, I'm fine doing nothing. We'll see how the morning plays out.

Been quiet for a while. Back now. Switched focus — prop firm only. No personal account risk while I build consistency. Blew a few evals. Not proud of it, but not hiding it either. Tilt got me every time — not the setup, not the strategy. Me. New approach: running 2 evals simultaneously. Same trades, both accounts. Forces discipline because one bad day hits twice. Still trading MES and MNQ. Still price action only. Same levels, same patience, same rules — just finally taking them seriously. From Grind To Edge. Back to documenting it.

Took setups that looked perfect but lacked conviction. Chased a few moves with market orders, only to watch them reverse instantly. Overtraded when the market went quiet. Each mistake taught me what not to do. Next week I’m switching gears — Limit orders only. Fewer trades. Let the market come to me. The edge isn’t the setup — it’s the discipline to wait for it.

Day Job vs. Trading. Struggle is REAL. Yesterday, took 3hrs off work to trade... lost $300 (8% of account) . Escaping the 9-5 amps pressure and emotions = sloppy trades. Today? Work owned my day, barely traded. Truth: With a job, it'll take TIME... but STAY CALM & strike EVERY opportunity. Slow & steady > impulsive losses. Grinding both?
