The Tigers are up 4-1 in the 6th and with this team that just does not feel like enough to get the job done. It’s gotten to the point of not asking if they will blow it but when they will blow it

Why on earth would we do this? The return we’d get for someone who just came off an 11-game suspension and has a history of losing his temper would be next to none, especially for a contending team. Mize has been the best pitcher on this team, why would we trade away our entire pitching staff a third of the season in? We’ve had 16 guys on the IL, it’s not like we’re 20-32 with a fully healthy roster, and it’s not like all the guys will be on the IL all season

The Tigers should definitely try and trade Framber as well at the deadline, right? Fire sale. Skubal, Framber, Mize, Carpenter, Torres. Get good enough returns and spend next free agency and then maybe you can be right back in the fray of a bad Central in 2027.

@Talkative_Tigs In just two months with the team he’s already been problematic for this clubhouse. Personally, I think if you can get a decent enough return to cut ties then you do it

@JGallagher_22 Oh well that’s where being active in free agency comes into play. Will be lots of names on the market this coming offseason you can restock with. Can always still chase Skubal or bring Mize back

@JTDHCM He is 27 yes, but still a top prospect for a very good reason. And he’s pitched very well so far this year.

The Blue Jays and Padres don’t have the farm to compete with the other two. I recommend Tigers fans start studying up on guys like Dax Kilby, Elmer Rodriguez, River Ryan and Mike Sirota.

I don’t think he’s ready yet but considering this is mostly a lost season already, I don’t see any reason not to let him get some MLB run time. Might as well start seeing how he adapts to major league pitching.

This love affair from the Tigers front office for Wenceel Perez has got to end. They honestly would probably have better success at this point signing Victor Reyes back out of the KBO or something. Perez is horrendous.

The only thing we can hope for at this point is that Skubal, Flaherty, Torkelson—and Carpenter and Torres if they come back healthy—put together a really strong June so we can sell high and get a lot of pieces back. Team probably needs an overhaul unfortunately.
