A few comments regarding $AMC short float fiasco today - first of all, we *never* reported short float of 40%. We have been reporting 18.84% all day. There is a screencap circulating that shows 40% but it is a photoshopped fake. 1/

@FPlaveti @CEOAdam If they were spoofing all those brokers, then the actual app would not get the info (your share count) at all, since no connection to your broker would be established. So no, there's no spoofing whatsoever. 100% BS.

@FPlaveti @CEOAdam Have a look at oAuth 2.0. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OAuth The application is not the one asking your credentials. You're being redirected to your broker. Once authenticated your broker generates a token which is sent back to the app.

@CEOAdam This is good but why the application selected is requesting highly sensitive personal information like the username AND PASSWORD OF OUR TRADING ACCOUNTS? We need you to change it to a different app which is not requesting such information to log in
