This was a huge week for crypto.
1. Bitcoin hit a 1-month high of $65,500.
2. ETH broke $1,900 for the first time in 6 weeks.
3. BlackRock bought $204M in BTC this week.
4. Ethereum ETFs bought $105M in ETH this week, the highest in 11 weeks.
5. ETH/BTC hit a 2.5-month high.
6. CPI and PPI inflation dropped to a 3-month low.
7. Japan passed a bill to legalize crypto ETFs, while South Korea recognized crypto as a "national asset."
8. Morgan Stanley ($9.3T) filed for SOL and ETH spot ETFs while rolling out crypto trading.

sometimes they just overwhelm people and stop them from trying in the first place.

to me, that's what mature technology looks like.
not something that forces people to learn new habits, but something that quietly makes their existing habits safer.
the best technology is often the kind you barely notice. it just works so well that you almost forget it's there.
maybe the biggest challenge for projects like @quipnetwork isn't building more complex technology, but making that protection feel as simple and seamless as possible for the people using it

The real question with RWAs is not:
“can this asset be tokenized?”
Most things can be tokenized badly.
The better question is:
“can this asset be understood after it goes onchain?”
That is where shipping gets interesting.
A vessel-backed model should not only show a nice story about access.
It should make the business easier to inspect:
→ which vessel is active
→ what cargo moved
→ which route mattered
→ how the charter works
→ where costs hit
→ who operates the asset
→ what risk sits offchain
→ what investors are actually exposed to
Without that layer, tokenization becomes decoration.
With it, the asset starts becoming underwritable.
This is why @EthraShip feels like a serious RWA test to me.
Shipping is physical enough that vague claims eventually run into reality.
A ship either moved or it did not.
Cargo either generated activity or it did not.
Costs either touched the margin or they did not.
That is the part I care about.
Not just bringing assets onchain.
Making the real business behind them harder to hide.

Been digging into @CNPYNetwork lately, and one idea keeps clicking harder every time.
There is no universal blockchain.
Financial institutions, consumer apps, and DeFi protocols all optimize for completely different things. Forcing them into one environment means somebody always has to compromise.
That's why $CNPY's direction makes so much sense.
Builders launch with shared security and a ready-made ecosystem from day one, then evolve into sovereign chains shaped around their own needs.
No adapting to someone else's limits. No one-size-fits-all tradeoffs.
To me that's a far more practical way to scale Web3 than pretending one chain can do everything.
The modular endgame is coming into focus.
Watching this ecosystem closely over the coming months.

Coinbase and @base keep repeating the same pattern
They make another big mistake, completely destroy user trust, then someone steps in saying they’re gonna fix the culture
At this point it’s not even about whether one person can change things. The damage is already done and the pattern is way too obvious

I took over the baseapp a few days ago yeah (as well as trading products in Coinbase - the Coinbase app, Advanced trading, etc). I don’t run Base chain. I think that typically CB has been a little bit in an ivory tower and a little bit distant from users, particularly crypto natives. I don’t think I will be able to fix that in a week, or maybe even a month. I can try and capture the voice of ppl onchain more and try and align ppl building things more closely w users. Obviously CB/Base has burned a lot of user goodwill w those users thru some unforced errors, including today. Obviously I could simply not do any of these things and have a nice life instead. Lots of ppl, including og base supporters/trenchers, rly hate base rn - throwing myself into the middle of a hatred pile-on is clearly not the most optimal life choice. I am aware I am setting myself up to be blamed by association. So, I wouldn’t be doing this if I thought it were impossible. I’m going to try and ship stuff that ppl like to use. Maybe ppl will hate what I do w the baseapp too, we will see how it goes.

it’s a simple multiplayer game cash out before the rocket explodes.
fun to play, but that’s not what stood out to me.
what stood out is how quickly experiences like this can be built.
with ai-friendly tooling and ready-to-use infrastructure, builders can spend less time setting up the basics and more time creating products people actually enjoy.
that’s the real advantage.
when launching on-chain apps becomes easier, innovation comes from ideas not infrastructure.

maybe . . .
But today's post from @EthraShip made me think about it differently.
T-bills, bonds and mortgages have been digital in traditional finance for years.
Shipping isn't.
You're dealing with real operations, real logistics and real businesses not just paperwork.
That's probably why I find this narrative more interesting.
It's less about putting a token on an asset...
More about connecting an operating industry with crypto.
