Horse racing has been a part of my life since my early teens and in 1987 I had the privilege of saddling my first winner as a trainer. Nearly 40 years later, I look back on my career with pride and gratitude. The countless memories, friendships, and opportunities that horse racing gave me will always be a part of who I am.
None of my success as a trainer would’ve been possible without the people that I work with, both past and present.
I’m especially appreciative of the owners that put their trust in me. Thank you doesn’t come close to expressing my gratitude.
I’m proud to share that my assistant Kinnon Larose (@RealKinnon) will be taking the reins and become the trainer of record for the barn. He deserves it. I’ve watched him grow into an incredibly talented horseman as he’s worked by my side for the last six years. I will get as much joy watching Kinnon win races as I would if I were the trainer.
To the entire racing community, thank you for decades of unforgettable memories and the joy it has brought me, my team, and my family! I’m not going anywhere, just ready to support and watch the next generation lead our industry. With Horsemen like Kinnon, we are in good hands.
Sincerely,
Tom

Three weeks after suffering seven broken ribs, a punctured lung and a lacerated liver, jockey @b_hernandezjr was back on horses this morning for @TomDruryRacing.

Jockey Mychel Sanchez: "We were screaming to the outrider, but they couldn’t act on time or didn’t see what I saw. I had to do something, not only because it was him, a great friend, husband, and father, but I saw in his face how in trouble he was."

@joesantos_33 100% agree. Inside horse runs with head high and outside horse was fully stretched out Santana just got nailed at the wire that’s the way it goes sometimes regardless of the look back was going to get beat.

Santana was very obviously looking back in concern for his fellow rider who was put in a tight spot and thought was in danger. Kendrick obviously was asking for relief. Hence Santana’s reaction. You’ll find this hard to believe, but the riders value each others lives out there

Hey Swift, let me tell you something - we Saudis are all about respecting our friends and not throwing shade. We're big on valuing people's feelings, not trashing them. And you know what's even crazier? We're dropping tens of millions of dollars into your country's industry every year. So, what's your move, Swift? What are you bringing to the table besides a whole lot of nothing? Let's get real, buddy - we're over here showing respect and investing big time, and you're just talking trash. What's your real contribution, besides spouting hot air?
