If you're a Beginner Data Analyst, please read to the end
I know in your bootcamps or in your training you're used to downloading Datasets from Kaggle or any other platforms or may be not but there's always an Excel or CSV file that you connect to
This is totally fine as you've only just started your journey.
However, as you're advancing in your learning, it is important to upskill and advance in your skill sets. I tell people "The more you learn, the more you earn"
Companies mostly don't have their Data stored in Excel or CSV. Kaggle Datasets are only there for you to practice as you're learning but it is far from real world.
Companies have their Data stored majorly in Databases and Cloud services.
How can you access these Data if you're not exposed to it while learning?
Job market is competitive
Imagine a Data Analyst in an interview that can't explain the process of extracting Data from a Cloud service or Database as simple as SQL server and imagine another Data Analyst that can easily do this.
Who do you think gets the job?
People are upskilling Everyday and may be the reason you're not getting a Job is because there's so much you need to learn and know.
This is just an advice
There's no pressure whatsoever
Should I stop using Kaggle? NO
Then what do I have to do? UPSKILL
After learning Kaggle, learn others too.

He told me December was his best month. His data disagreed.
I was Casually chilling in a bar during the weekend and was watching the Premier League.
During Halftime, a businessman pointed at an accessory's ad and said "I sell something like that, Better quality. Good price."
I asked how business was going.
He vented. Revenue good. Shops busy. But money never matched the hustle.
I asked one question — "how do you track what comes in and goes out?"
He mentioned a notebook, Accountant sends inventory through a excel file too, but he hardly understands.
After the game I asked for his records and told him to give me a week.
A week later I sent him one file. A dashboard with context. He was bewildered.
First thing he saw — his best-selling product had a 24% margin. His least selling product had 62%.
Then December — ₦6.22M expenses. ₦5.58M revenue.
His best month had spent more than it made.
He called within the hour.
"Chelsea scored that night and I celebrated. Turns out my business was losing while I was cheering." I chuckled
Revenue is not profit. Your data knows the difference even when you don't.
