Locally elevated cholesterol in colorectal cancer cells was observed to drive Wnt–β-catenin signaling through Dishevelled (Dvl). Inhibitors targeting the cholesterol-Dvl interaction suppress tumor growth without adverse side effects. nature.com/articles/s4158…

In the past month, series of high magnitude earthquakes hit Turkey and Syria, killed 46,000+ people and left many more homeless. I had an opportunity to give a talk at #BPS2023 where I also addressed this tragic event and how to help who were affected. ++
