When you hear “execution,” you might assume a serious crime was committed even if you’re against the death penalty. But no, Mohammadreza Abdollahpour, 28, a healthcare worker, was arrested on January 8 while helping an injured person in the street. And for that, he has been sentenced to death by the Islamic Republic. Where in the world is saving a life punishable by execution? Speak up. Be his voice.

Some schools in Germany will not have music lessons because they don't want to offend sensibilities of Muslims, who consider music a grave sin. It sounds like a joke but it's not.

Yesterday marked the 8th anniversary of the ISIS terrorist killing of Colonel Arnaud Beltrame in France. He volunteered to exchange himself for a young female hostage held by a jihadist gunman at the Trèbes supermarket in Southern France. The jihadist slashed his throat before police stormed the building. He deliberately sacrificed his own life for a stranger. Hero of French and Western civilisation.

To the immortal memory of Colonel Arnaud Beltrame of the Gendarmerie nationale who died on this day eight years ago. He selflessly exchanged himself for a hostage, putting himself in the hands of a terrorist who had already murdered three people. It cost him his life.

Those who did this to Gaza are lecturing Iran about "international law" and not targeting "civilian homes."

Gaza this morning, thousands of displaced families sheltering in tents. This is what survival looks like. We are exhausted and in pain, yet we continue to endure. Please don’t forget us. Keep Gaza in your hearts. 🙏🇵🇸

💚 Kijk mee ⬇️

Anonymous My uncle died last month. We weren't close. Barely talked. He was the weird uncle everyone avoided at family dinners. But in his will, he left me $47,000. My mom said: "That's strange. He barely knew you." I had no idea why he'd do that. The lawyer handed me a letter along with the check. "Read this alone," he said. Weird instruction. I opened it and my hands started shaking. The letter was dated 1987 before I was even born. My uncle wrote: "I'm leaving this money to my nephew because my older brother once gave me $50 when I was 19 and completely broken. I was suicidal. Had no money. No direction. That $50 and a conversation saved my life." "I've been waiting 30+ years to pass this forward. To give it to a young person who might need to know that someone believes in them. I never had kids. So I'm giving it to my nephew. Not because he needs it. But because someone once gave to me when I needed it most. Pay it forward." I cried in my car for an hour. My uncle the weird one nobody talked to had spent decades waiting for the right moment to help someone. And he picked me. A person he barely knew. Because someone had once picked him. I didn't spend that money on myself. Paid off my best friend's dad's medical debt. Helped my sister with her divorce lawyer fees. Funded a college scholarship at my local high school. And I wrote letters with every single one: "Someone believed in you. Now I do too." Sometimes the kindest people are the ones everyone overlooks. 🤍
