Arne Slot and LFC are benching Salah for Frimpong. Salah has the most big chances created in the Champions League this year. The club’s agenda against Mo after all he’s done for them is disgraceful.

@anfieldforge Like it matters when we have a manager who has no interest in playing football because he’s too scared of playing superior opposition. PSG couldn’t care less what our formation was. They were just gonna play their game and attack however we set up.

You call yourself a Liverpool fan? Proper supporters don’t go leaking line ups for a few cheap likes and a bit of attention. All you’re doing is damaging the club, flagging there’s a leak inside and potentially handing the opposition an edge before a ball’s even been kicked. It’s selfish, it’s embarrassing and it’s not support it’s pure clout chasing. Pack it in.

@KopEndFracas It’s clearly tactical. Mac last season used to take 1 or 2 touches then pass the ball, now he’s trying to dribble plays players when he hasn’t got the legs and looks like he’s running through treacle 😭 We literally never play one or two touch anymore. Just slow insipid dross

Switching to a back five from the start was one of the only tactical tweaks Arne Slot had yet to opt for with Liverpool this season. Injuries at right-back, poor form for Mohamed Salah and big money spent on forwards has meant a lot of reshuffling. This change was to add protection for a leaky defence who had to face the free-scoring European champions away from home. Without ever being great or dominating possession, Liverpool showed the shape might become an effective blueprint for the Premier League.
