Let’s pray, Heavenly Father, On this first Sunday of May 2025, I come before You with a heart full of faith, anticipation, and boldness. I know that this year You are setting the stage for dramatic change, not only in my life but in the world around me. I declare that 2025 will be a year of breaking barriers, defying expectations, and embracing the controversial destiny You have set for me. Father, I declare that 2025 will be the year I experience controversial breakthroughs—things that the world, and even some in the Church, say are impossible. I will not wait for permission to be blessed. I will not wait for man’s approval to walk in prosperity, healing, and favor. I will rise up and take what is rightfully mine. If they say it’s too late, I will declare that it’s never too late for a miracle. If they say my time has passed, I will show them that Your time is always now. I am not bound by the limitations others place on me. I declare today, this Sunday, May 4th, 2025, that everything that has tried to hold me back is now coming to an end. I speak to every religious spirit, every traditional mindset, and every system that has tried to limit my potential, and I declare: You have no power over me. I am stepping into my God-given destiny unapologetically, and no one can stop it. What God has ordained, no man can prevent. Amen.

The Almighty God who saved our souls, in His infinite mercy, He will empower us to bring salvation to our entire family. He will turn each and every one of us to signs and wonders. We will be signs to our generation, and wonders to the world. He will do the same for our children and our grandchildren and great grandchildren; He will do the same for our brothers, and our sisters, and all our relatives. MIGHTY IN BATTLE “Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.” - (Psalm 24:8) READ: 2 Chronicles 20:1-30 l In Psalm 24:7-10, God is described as the King of glory, the Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle, and the Lord of hosts. In Psalm 107:20, the Bible says that He sent His word to deliver the Israelites from their troubles. It doesn't matter how big the opposition you are facing is, the One who is mighty in battle will give you a great victory. Jesus said in John 14:6 that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. In John 8:32, He said that you shall know the truth, and it shall make you free. If you are facing an enemy that appears to be greater than you, my advice is that you surrender your life completely to Jesus now. Once He makes you free, you are free indeed, and no one can oppress you again. In Luke 11:21-22, He said that the only way anyone can steal the goods of a strong man is if he or she is stronger. Since there is no one stronger than God, once you are surrendered to Him and have become His child, no one can take you from Him. This is why Jesus said in John 10:29: My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. In today's Bible reading, when Jehoshaphat was attacked on every side by the Ammonites, the Moabites, and the inhabitants of Mount Seir, he called on the One who is mighty in battle. The instruction he received was, "Just praise me," and he obeyed. He and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem and Judah fell before the Mighty Man in battle in worship. Nobody escaped after the Mighty Man in battle set Jehoshaphat's enemies against one another. All Jehoshaphat and his men had to do was gather abundant spoils because the Lord made them rejoice over their enemies. I decree today that any gang or group that comes to attack you will help to utterly destroy one another; the Mighty One in battle will set your enemies against themselves, in Jesus' name. In the name above every other name, none of your enemies will escape the sword of the Mighty One in battle. Beloved, surrender totally to Jesus today if you are yet to do so. He is the Almighty, and He never loses a war. When you surrender, you give Him room to fight your battles for you, just as He fought Jehoshaphat's and gave him victory. Let's pray, Heavenly Father, On this 30th day of January, I come before You with a heart full of expectation. Lord, I stand on Joel 2:25, where You promised to restore the years that the enemy has stolen. I decree that every lost opportunity, every delayed blessing, and every stolen promise shall be restored. I break every cycle of stagnation, confusion, and discouragement. I reject every voice of doubt and fear that seeks to derail me from my destiny. I prophesy that this day will be filled with divine encounters, supernatural favor, and unexpected breakthroughs. Let doors open before me that no man can shut. Let the right people, opportunities, and resources be divinely connected to me. Every obstacle standing in the way of my progress is removed by the power of the Holy Spirit. As January nears its end, I declare that I will finish this month strong. Every unfinished breakthrough shall be completed. Every prayer I have prayed will bear fruit in due season. I walk in faith, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in me (Philippians 1:6). Amen.

MARRIAGE - A BLESSING OR A CURSE? “And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” - (Genesis 2:18) READ: Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Today, divorce rates are as high as 50% in some countries, and some people believe that they are better off not being married. This brings up the question, is marriage a blessing or a curse? Some people argue that marriage is a curse because if Eve was not created, and marriage was not instituted in the first place, there would be no sin in the world. Adam also seemed to believe this theory because he blamed God for giving him Eve when he was asked why he ate the forbidden fruit (Genesis 3:12). However, we must remember that Adam was alone, and God created Eve for his good. Everything was going well until sin came in. So, Eve was not the problem, the problem was sin. Marriage can either be a blessing or a curse, depending on what either of the couple allows into their union. If marriage is done in line with God’s word, it will be a blessing. However, if either of the couple goes outside the will of God and lets sin in, there will be trouble. Today makes it 57 years since I have been married, and I can tell you without a doubt that my marriage became a blessing when my wife and I gave our lives to Christ and started living according to His will. Before then, we would have disagreements that would last for weeks, but these stopped when we surrendered to Christ. I recall the story of a couple who fought every single night. One day, someone invited them to a RCCG parish in their city, and when an altar call was made, they gave their lives to Christ. Over the next three weeks, their neighbours didn’t hear them fighting. Curious, the neighbours asked the couple why they had not been fighting. They replied that they had brought Christ into their marriage, and He was the reason they stopped fighting. If your marriage is to be a blessing, you and your spouse must truly be born again, living according to God’s word. You and your spouse should study the Bible, pray, and evangelise together. You should both be on fire for God. When you do these regularly, you will discover how beautiful marriage is. I am enjoying my marriage, and I pray that you will enjoy yours too, in Jesus’ name.
