@ppkorevaar @Schiphol @Schiphol Definitly used to be good. But the last couple of years I’ve had the same experience. Toilets are disgusting, lines are too long, and it just doesn’t flow well.

Departing from Amsterdam Airport (@Schiphol) is such a nightmare. Constant bottle necks, urine on the floor. Arrived 3.5 hours before departure and can still barely make my flight.

I have the receipt and license plate number: yet cannot do anything.
The receipt is for "Schipol Taxi" (schipoltaxi.nl). The company says they are like an "AirBnb for taxis" and have nothing to do with rides.
But refuse to name what person or company did the ride (I have the license plate number: R419KL
Receipt has no driver information.
And so nowhere to complain.
92 EUR for a ride that is 35 (thanks to taking a long route when there was no traffic)

Was good while it lasted.
The taxi maffia is back at Amsterdam airport, scamming ppl.
Family member got taken on a 3x longer route than what should have been.
Taxi company (Schipol Taxi) says they are not responsible. No way to report or get back money.
Back to Uber it is.

Wanted to get an Uber at the airport. After 10 minutes of every driver canceling (drivers now have unlimited cancels) wondered if there's a better way. And there was. Walked up to the taxi stand, took a taxi, paid the same as Uber Black estimated. Rides have gone full circle.

I sound like a broken record but there’s so much you can learn about product design from video games. For example: feedback loops, progression, spatial design, onboarding, loading states, UI, … Anything I’m missing?

Best series for me? True Detective season 1, Breaking Bad, GoT. Long list of good stories out there.
Recently enjoying the Dune series, Penguin was good.
Lord of the rings was visually incredible. But most of the story was just meh. It wasn’t making me wait for next episode in excitement. Characters never felt like they were doing something they would do, it just felt like the story needed them to do it. Gand Elf? I mean that’s really what we come up with?
Everyone has their thing. And if you love it, great!

Volvo posted a 3 min and 46 second ad on Instagram, shot by Hoyte Van Hoytema, the cinematographer of Interstellar and Oppenheimer. It goes against every single rule you can think about as a social lead. Length. Format. Over-produced. Every comment under the ad said it immediately put Volvo in their consideration set. It's fucking fantastic.

Soms ben ik zo verbaasd door de wereld van corporate software. Werkelijk iedereen blijkt iets dat "iBabs" heet te gebruiken voor vergaderingen. Tool doet weinig meer dan een agenda bijhouden en PDFjes tonen. 1200 EURO PER JAAR voor 10 gebruikers. HOE DAN.

I like the idea.
But this vintage logo really needs work, why not do that? I wonder who is making these calls at Ajax, nothing is stopping Ajax from being this amazing, history driven club that everyone in the world wants to follow. And this is it? This is what’s going to do that for the club? No clean Hedcut illustration, no beautifully simple revisit of the red and white crest.
Take what was good about this and correct the mistakes. Make it inspirational. Instead Ajax went for 200px jpg blowup on a poster, pretending that’s what everyone wanted.
