You have more anger towards the woman for saying she will cheat back than you have for the man who disrespected his vows, disrespected his wife and desecrated his home. In a society where men proudly say cheating is part of their nature, you are more worried about a woman who didn’t say she will cheat on her man but simply said if he makes that move, she will do same? You even went as far as posting her picture and her wedding pic? As what? Moral police? Who gave you the right to do that? Why do you think your decision to leave the marriage because he cheats is better than hers? Same society who blame women who leave their marriages because of cheating? Truly, patriarchal princesses are the wheels on which patriarchy rides!

Remember, Tinubu declared a state of emergency in Rivers because his source of income was threatened. No one died. Thousands have died in Nigeria since, but I guess the only deserving emergencies are oil and money, not people’s lives.

Tinubu has no business remaining in office as President. The killings cannot continue unabated. Resign now!

The problem is that many people seem to think that sexual = bad. It’s okay for things to be sexual. Sexual isn’t inherently bad. Humans are sexual beings. And sexual content in art has legitimacy. If your objection to a painting is solely because it is sexual, you are practising prudishness, not criticism. The critical questions should be about the craft, meaning and ethics, all of which apply to any subject matter/art form, sexual or non-sexual.

Has anyone considered that nude painting could be sexual or non sexual depending on perspective. Has anyone thought about this

Children left their homes to get an education 3 days ago and never went back home. Teachers left their homes to train the next generation of this nation, some are missing and 2 have been killed. None of this is normal, yet somehow, it is in Nigeria. We are not okay. Not at all

A Nation Losing Its HUMANITY. Some events shatter a society so deeply that words are no longer enough to express the shock; the brutal killing of a teacher and the horrific rape and murder of an elderly woman are among such tragedies. These are not isolated incidents but signs of deeper moral and social decay. How did we get here? How did we reach a point where teachers are hunted and killed, and the elderly—custodians of memory and wisdom—suffer such dehumanising violence? This is more than a security crisis; it is a failure of collective humanity. We have become desensitised, consuming tragedy briefly and moving on, allowing indifference to normalise the unacceptable. To the families affected, I share in your grief. But grief alone is not enough. We must demand accountability and urgent systemic change. If such atrocities no longer move us to action, then we risk losing our shared humanity. -PO

I’ve spent the past couple of weeks building Looters: a public archive of Nigerian political corruption since the 1990s. Governors, ministers, shell companies, Swiss accounts, the Jersey trusts, — one searchable graph. You too can connect the dots: 1000reasons.vote/looters

My mum was recently diagnosed with Grade 2 breast cancer. Since that day, she has shown unbelievable strength going through chemotherapy every three weeks, doing her blood work, and holding on to hope even when the road gets harder. The doctors had hoped she would be ready for surgery in April, but the lump hasn’t shrunk enough yet. Now there’s a strong possibility she may need a mastectomy, and her treatment has been extended. She is still fighting. But the financial burden has become too heavy for us to carry alone. My mum would never want me to come online and ask for help, but I can’t watch her go through this without doing everything possible to support her. We are raising ₦5 million to cover her ongoing chemotherapy, medications, and the surgery she needs to have a real chance at beating this. If you’ve ever loved your own mother… If you know what it feels like to be scared of losing her… Please don’t scroll past this. Every donation, no matter how small, is helping my mum fight for her life. Please support her journey by donating: Campaign: Help me save my mom Bank: Wema Bank. Account Number: 9812838670 Account Name: CHAINFUNDITNI/HELP ME SAVE MY MOM Drop a 🙏 if you’re praying for her healing. Let her know she’s not alone in this battle. #NaijaNoCap
