ANC SG Fikile Mbalula threatens the United States Ambassador to South Africa
In a speech at the People’s March on 21 March 2026, ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula threatened to kick Bozell out of the country:
“There is another old man who came into our country from the United States,” Mbalula said, referring to United States Ambassador Bozell.
“He began to open his big mouth and attack this constitutional court, our court, our democracy. They demolished him.”
The ANC Secretary-General said, referring to Minister Lamola, “Should he open his mouth again, show him the door.”

🇿🇦 A 35-year-old labour law attorney, Chinette Gallichan, was shot dead in broad daylight outside the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) offices in Johannesburg, South Africa on Monday morning.
She had just arrived for a case when a man approached her as she exited her vehicle and opened fire at close range before fleeing to a waiting car.
Gallichan was reportedly representing a well-known mining company in a dispute involving retrenched workers seeking compensation.
Nothing was stolen, and early indications suggest a targeted hit.

SONA 2026 is another exercise in fantasy. Ramaphosa presents a wishlist of dreams while conveniently omitting a single concrete plan on how to achieve them.
It is easy to talk about structural change from a podium, but for the ordinary citizen facing a 32% unemployment rate, these are just recycled promises without a roadmap.
This administration is profoundly removed from the reality of the streets, preferring the safety of a script over the hard work of service delivery.

@Lesufi, the audacity to claim you suffer like us because you have to go to a hotel to bathe is a slap in the face. Residents don't have hotel options; they have dry taps because @DadaMorero, your sweeping model drained R4 billion from water funds to hide your fiscal mess.
Now Joburg Water is R1.18 billion in debt to Rand Water, and our pipes are rotting under a R27 billion backlog. Enough with the creative accounting and elite bubble baths. Act like leaders; ringfence the funds, pay the suppliers, and fix the pipes before this city completely collapses.
