Negotiated savings should pass to consumers, patients should not be steered to the most expensive drugs, and pharmacies should be adequately reimbursed so they can continue to operate and provide front line healthcare. Getting there has been a battle, but this is one more great step forward.

Proud to carry (along with @AaronRouseVA) one of the first key affordability bills signed by our Governor - PBM reform. We deserve transparency in our healthcare system and PBMs, the prescription drug middlemen, have been operating in the dark for too long.

This year I passed legislation for a barrier crime waiver and state corrective action/aid for struggling local Dept. of Social Services. 2 years ago I worked on creating placement agreements to prevent foster care and boost kinship placement. I talk about those and more.

Nehemiah Action happening now at CHS with @LauferFor55 and many more. This year’s action goals are to increase transit services, 2) put money and intention into the Alb. housing trust fund, and 3) begin the first steps of a gun violence intervention strategy.

Back in Cville ❤️❤️. Spoke with VSBA student reps this morning and ended the day talking with the Child Health Partnership (along with Dr. Webb, Commissioner of the VA Dept. of Health) about ways the GA is protecting the wellbeing of mothers and children.

I join many in the advocacy space in mourning the passing of Sincere Allah. Working with him and @REFORM on @DelegateCallsen’s bipartisan probation incentives was a privilege. I’ll never forget his wisdom and commitment to building a fairer Commonwealth for returning citizens.
