Under the guidance of Hon’ble Speaker Shri @Gupta_vijender Ji, the Delhi Legislative Assembly continues to strengthen youth engagement through meaningful democratic outreach initiatives. Students of Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi, visited the Assembly and gained valuable insights into its history, functioning, and role in strengthening democratic values. The visit also included an engaging tour of the Assembly Library, where students explored archival records and the coffee table book “Shatabdi Yatra,” highlighting the historic journey of the Delhi Legislative Assembly.

Hon’ble Speaker Shri @Gupta_vijender Ji participated in the “Preliminary Meeting of the Committee of Presiding Officers to Frame the Uniform Model of Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business of Legislative Bodies,” constituted under the guidance of Hon’ble Lok Sabha Speaker Shri @ombirlakota Ji. The meeting witnessed meaningful deliberations on strengthening legislative institutions by promoting greater uniformity in procedures, enhancing transparency and efficiency in functioning, and further deepening the spirit of parliamentary democracy across the country.

Hon’ble Speaker, Delhi Legislative Assembly, Shri @Gupta_vijender Ji, will attend the Meeting on Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business of Legislative Bodies in Karnataka from 11th to 14th May. The meeting will bring together Presiding Officers and representatives of legislative bodies to deliberate on parliamentary procedures, legislative practices, and institutional effectiveness.

As part of the initiative, students of Gargi College, University of Delhi, visited the Assembly and experienced its vibrant democratic legacy firsthand. The visit also included an enriching tour of the Assembly Library, where students explored archival collections and the coffee table book “Shatabdi Yatra,” offering insights into the Assembly’s historic and legislative journey.

As part of the Delhi Legislative Assembly’s Youth Outreach Initiative, students of Satyawati College, University of Delhi, had the opportunity to experience the vibrant democratic legacy of the Assembly firsthand. During their visit, the students explored the historic Assembly premises, archival records, and the coffee table book “Shatabdi Yatra,” showcasing the Assembly’s remarkable journey over the decades. Guided by the vision of Hon’ble Speaker Shri @Gupta_vijender Ji, the initiative aims to encourage youth to develop a deeper understanding of democratic institutions and parliamentary traditions.
