@IfThisWasANovel this is my first time hearing about ye xian im not very cultured HAHA but that sounds so cool! i see that it's magical realism too, i love that genre. i am stuck in a series ive been stuck forever on so i can't pick up anything else but i hope to return to this one 🥺

@delicatexrush It's about, like, generational trauma and war and grief and mothers and daughters and romantic love and family and prejudice and hard choices and it's full of so much heart. I loved it. Plus, it's a Cinderella retelling (but actually a Ye-Xian retelling)
