From what I am learning the UK angel investor is a bit of a unicorn.
Colin Gardiner@ColinGardiner
Who are the UK angel investors actively writing checks right now? I met a sharp young founder with solid traction.

Congrats to the founding @ereborbank team, @PalmerLuckey, Owen Rapaport, Jacob Hirshman, Trevor Capozza, and Aaron Pelz on launching a bank built for the fast-growing innovation economy across AI, digital assets, aerospace, defense tech and more.
We have known Owen since the early days of @HaunVentures and were so impressed with him and his cofounders that we became an early supporter through the Seed, Series A, and now Series B round of Erebor. Doors are open!

Picked up the keys to the @ConceptVC_ new HQ in London today
We're opening a physical home for our team, portfolio, and the next generation of founders to build from.
2025 was a landmark year for Concept - closing Fund II and watching portfolio companies like @elevenlabs create entirely new categories.
In the year ahead, we will deploy roughly £10M into ~12 teams - all when companies are little more than a Concept.
We operate with two simple rules:
It is never too early. Whether it’s Day 1 of the year or Day 0 of your journey. We don't need a polished deck or recurring revenue. We like the messy, high-conviction "just an idea" phase.
Europe to Global. We are looking for founders based here, but building for the world.
If you are obsessed with a problem and ready to build, let’s chat

@delingpole “It’s particularly surprising that despite numerous past lessons, like the TSB IT migration disaster in 2018 that affected millions of customers of the UK bank, a staggered software rollout was not employed.”

@samuelross Microsoft is required to let third parties have kernel level access as a matter of competition regulation: part of its interoperability agreement with the EU in 2009 required that any APIs that its own security products and features used had to be offered to third parties.

@delingpole This angle re antitrust is interesting though

Today is a significant milestone for @wayve_ai, as we proudly announce our $1.05 billion Series C from @SoftBank_Group, @Microsoft and @nvidia. Since the start we've held a contrarian belief that end-to-end AI will make autonomy possible. I'm excited about this massive endorsement of our vision and the opportunity to launch our first Embodied AI product for automotive.

@ComplyAdvantage @delingpole Nicely done @delingpole. I was just at the G20 and one of the points in the final declaration was on strengthening the travel rule and FATF. Stopping bad guys from exploiting the financial system means using the best tools available.
