Fair point. Prime "Pep Ball" with a squad of stellar technically gifted signings was a sight to behold. Sexy on the Eye. Teams started adapting to Pep Ball about 3 seasons ago with our last narrow Title win, employing the Low Block playing on the counter. Boring as fuck to watch, but actually very effective. Pep Ball Kryptonite. Low Block counter attacking Football then took over the Prem like a plague. Kind of Ironic that us signing less technically gifted players to replace legends, made the Low Block even more effective. Teams just waited for us to lose possession then hit on the counter. Pep has still not found an effective way to counter it.
