Worried a loved one might have dementia? Memory loss is just one sign. Look out for confusion with daily tasks (like making tea), getting lost in familiar places, or struggling with words and conversations. If you’re concerned, speak to their GP sooner rather than later.

Is your loved one indecisive? When I first began caring for my mum, I learned that dementia affects moods, personality and a person’s ability to make judgements and decisions. My mum became more indecisive and always asked my opinion before making even small decisions.

A person with dementia can lose track of time. Ten minutes can feel like two hours. I learned this first-hand when I quickly popped to my mum’s local shop to get some food. When I returned, she thought I’d been gone for hours. #DementiaAwareness #DementiaCare
