for context, considering low-dose treatment for stubborn and mild-to-moderate maturation arrest acne that sprung up on me in my early 20s after stopping hormonal birth control (dumb, i know, it was to manage various menstrual issues when i was younger)
i feel like i've tried most things for it (nearly every topical, various supplements, diet/lifestyle) to no avail, and there doesn't seem to be a cause in my bloodwork or hormones..
that said, my acne isn't nearly severe enough to trade it in for some of the side effects i have heard of if they're legitimate, but it seems like a lot of research is limited (or straight up poorly designed) and some anecdotes online of post-treatment issues are of things that could just be correlated with having acne in the first place or feasibly develop unrelated to treatment
anyways i am Fearful haha
