I just moved into this new place and something happened. For almost a full month I was using the electricity running microwave morning and night , use my Ac yet my prepaid meter barely moved. I checked, 15 units gone in 30days with all the heavy usage impossible. Last week I called a technician to come and check it, the guy showed up checked the wiring, open the meter box, trace the line and burst out laughing. He said this your meter no dey collect current from the direct line o the previous tenant wired straight into somebody else supply You've been enjoying free light the whole time. I was shocked, I don't even know some innocent neighbor somewhere has been carrying the full bill, I just they pity the person imagine the shock when their Bill land. I just told the technician to disconnect the illegal connection and everything is back to normal and now my meter is finally behaving like a proper meter. I'm still confused I don't know if i should tell the neighbor what happened
