This is from Tim’s sister Anna. Tim’s cancer treatment and knock-on collapse of his business Endlesss have plunged his family into crisis. I’ve started a Gofundme for them gofund.me/15bf38ef. Donations and retweets are hugely appreciated ❤️🙏

@dennisdesantis hi, will you port (some of) your device tools to the new MIDI Tools way ? They would look quite fit to me :)

Really cool site by @Ableton lets you play around with different musical tuning systems. tuning.ableton.com I especially like this sonic code editor! 🎵 #musedchat

A fun way to explore tuning.ableton.com: Start some drones using the editor, and then noodle on pads to listen for beating patterns and interesting intervals. Here's an example with a 7-EDO system.

SURPRISE!! I made the @Ableton Live 12 demo song! My vocals, custom presets, I made a world just for you to explore. Breakdown video on the way! Without twitter I wouldnt be where I am for real, thank you so much 🌳🪕

@dennisdesantis @Ableton Open a set in note. Top right corner: set settings. Key & Scale.

To accompany the new tuning features in @ableton Live 12, we've created a companion website - tuning.ableton.com - that lets you explore Live's tuning presets, and even make your own.
English

@dennisdesantis @Ableton I have a vague memory that If I set the tuning in Ableton Note, all the inatruments and kits I load will be turned accordingly automatically.
Is that true for Live 12?
English

@PauRosello_ @Ableton Yes, Live will display whatever note names are in the file, providing they're using symbols that Live can display. Many of the presets use ASCII characters to modify note names, for example. There's a 31TET file in the library!
English

@dennisdesantis @Ableton So for example, loading a 31TET file would show the 31TET note names over the 12TET keys?
English

@PauRosello_ @Ableton The piano roll updates to show the notes names in the loaded tuning file.
English

@dennisdesantis @Ableton Does that mean that the piano roll can be customized?
English

@MartynEhm @Ableton No, the device in Live currently shows tunings relative to 12edo. But the website has a tuner as well, which can listen to mic input. And it can switch between showing tunings relative to 12edo or the current tuning system.
English

@dennisdesantis @Ableton Thanks, I didn't get around to trying that on the beta. Are tunings reflected in the tuner plugin? It would be interesting to also use the setting to tune a real instrument.
