People have been asking for my take on everything going on lately, especially when it comes to entering the lewd sphere. So here’s my advice: The moment you start existing in both spaces, SFW and NSFW...people will try to reduce you to a single label. It won’t matter how funny you are, how kind you are, how much you do for the community, the charity work, the effort, the late nights, the support you give others… to some people, all of it gets buried under one word. So if this is a path you’re stepping into, understand that now. You need thick skin. You need to know who you are outside of what strangers decide to call you, because once people make up their minds about you, very few will look deeper than the label they’ve chosen.

Panda called them a guy (the noun "otoko") based on biological sex, but Kirara uses "atashi", which is a very feminine first-person pronoun. So, English translators didn't exactly pull it out of thin air.

@dennison_jacob @DarkXavier541 kirara in original japanese release is very consistently called a "man" in pronouns. it is just that english release had to make some up since english as a language uses much more pronouns for paraphrasing than japanese.
