So, to be clear, nobody is advocating for athletes not to be paid... ​College students who participate in NCAA sports are free to pursue any valid millions in NIL they wish. ​However, the universities, hardworking regular students, and taxpayers absolutely shouldn't be the ones paying for it.

As @JayBilas correctly points out, there’s a lot of hypocrisy in college athletics right now. It’s only when athletes begin to get paid that it’s necessary to have a federal law to “save college sports.”
